Hello scattered friends and family in Messiah! I love to read! I am reading 3 books right now:
However, I am typing today to share a bit of what I learned from my reading today: "Walking in the dust of Rabbi Jesus (Yeshua)"- Lois Tverberg She explains that mainstream Christians tend to take an "all or nothing," approach to Torah (pg 137). We, our family, and fellowship do not do that because we understand it is a lifelong process of growth/sanctification. It is better to KEEP the Torah and guard it to the best of your current: ability, growth, and understanding. That ability will grow as your relationship with YHWH grows and you flex working those muscles of faith + obedience. Contrary, "In their (Jewish) minds, the Law teaches them how to live in a way that pleases a loving God and upholds their covenantal relationship. Because of this, Judaism often shows a surprising pragmatism toward people's weaknesses. People are encouraged to keep aiming to obey God's laws, even if they do so imperfectly. The idea is that if you can't be entirely obedient, do your best to do what you and can and try even harder tomorrow." (pg 137) AMEN! "If you are not going to be better tomorrow than you were today, then what need have you for tomorrow?- Rabbi Nachman of Braztlav (1772-1810) I have shared this many times and up front Christians often "like" the posts or commentary but don't push themselves deeper into keeping: Torah, Feast Days, Shabbat as instructed in Scripture and lived out by Messiah Yeshua as our example: You are saved by grace through faith so that no man can boast... And justified apart from works, correct... but let's continue... The outworking or fruit of salvation is keeping Yeshua's commandments (Torah) If you love Me, you will keep My commandments: John 14:15 For He said: "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."Matthew 7:17-20 ) as the scripture says: Do we then nullify the Law by this faith [making the Law of no effect, overthrowing it]? Certainly not! On the contrary, we confirm and establish and uphold the Law (Torah) [since it convicts us all of sin, pointing to the need for salvation].Romans 3:31 AMP "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law (Torah)or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law (Torah)until everything is accomplished. (Is everything accomplished yet? No.) So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:18).
> But we know that the Torah is good if one uses it legitimately- 1 Tim 1:8 > So then, the Torah is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. Rom 7:12 > So you are to keep My statutes and My ordinances. The one who does them will live by them. I am Adonai. Lev 18:5 The Torah of Adonai is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of Adonai is trustworthy, making the simple wise. 9 The precepts of Adonai are right, giving joy to the heart. The mitzvot of Adonai are pure, giving light to the eyes. 10 The fear of Adonai is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of Adonai are true and altogether righteous. 11 They are more desirable than gold, yes, more than much pure gold! They are sweeter than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 12 Moreover by them Your servant is warned. In keeping them there is great reward. PS 19: 8-12 THE TORAH OF ADONAI IS PERFECT. Yeshua did not come to abolish the Torah/Law. The Torah brings: joy and blessings, restores the soul, makes the simple wise, gives light to the eyes, and is more desireable than gold, in keeping His Commands is "great reward." Oh how the community of Messiah has been misled by Catholic heresies and modern watery sermons.... Finally then, brothers and sisters, we ask you and appeal in the Lord Yeshua—just as you received from us the way you ought to walk and please God (as in fact you are walking)—that you keep progressing more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Yeshua. 3 For this is the will of God--your sanctification 1 Thess 4:1-3 If you cannot stop yelling at your kids... yell less today than the day before. If you struggle submitting to your husband; pick 1 area to submit to him in genuine obedience. If you cannot stop gossiping altogether- gossip less, set apart maybe an hour or two to do nothing but uplift and encourage others and keep all negativity in your mind and lay before YHWH when those intrusive thoughts come up. Take 1 step. Take another step. Keep coming, keep submitting, keep seeking and take back the Covenant that is ours the blessings that are ours in Torah have been hidden in deception for a good 1500 years. But now for such a time as this.... there is a remnant rising coming back to HIS ways out of the traditions and denominations of men. Out of the divisions and lukewarm... We are rising as we rise let's bring another brother or sister to freedom from deception....then we can both go back for another lost soul or another sibling left in the bondage of lies... 1 by 1 let us leave "Egypt" and cross over as Hebrews into His ways: His Torah, His Appointed Days, His Shabbat as we are SET APART unto Him. Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well. Our house church: The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship is going to be doing a series of teachings breaking down PS 119 These are just some of my notes from last Shabbat 11/18/23: Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the Torah of Adonai. 2 Happy are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with a whole heart, 3 who also do no injustice, but walk in His ways. 4 You have commanded that Your precepts be kept diligently. 5 Oh that my ways were steadfast to observe Your decrees! 6 Then I would not be ashamed, when I consider all Your mitzvot. 7 I will praise You with an upright heart as I learn Your righteous judgments. 8 I will observe Your statutes. Never abandon me utterly! Word Study: Strong's Concordance:
vs 27 Help me discern the way of Your precepts, -------> so I may meditate on Your wonders. When I deep-dive/study Scripture I often break into the Strong's Concordance and break down paragraphs piece by piece and bit by bit. So for the above we can see
For as much as the mainstream Christian church teaches people that Torah is a curse. Which is NOT Biblical. The Bible says the exact opposite. "Blessed are those who walk in the Torah of Adonai." Unlearn the lies, friends. We keep and guard the Torah of Adonai (His mitzvot, Appointed Times, Shabbat) because it is a blessing and it is from Him. His commandments are not burdensome or too difficult.- 1JN 5:3 Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Bible notes from our family study: We are forbidden from taking the name of YHWH (or taking up the name or bearing the name, as the phrase could be translated) in a manner that is wicked, worthless, or for wrong purposes. Examples:Leviticus 19:12 and Hosea 10:4 mention not swearing falsely with YHWH'S name. YHWH'S name should not be used to deceive others. Jeremiah 23:25 says not to prophesy lies in YHWH'S name, and Leviticus 18:21 even mentions child sacrifice to Molech as something that would profane the name of the Lord. Misusing the Lord’s name is not as simplistic as saying statements like, “Oh my ____,” even if such statements are inappropriate & wrong. The wrong use of the Lord’s name, the one the Bible warns against is using YHWH'S name for evil. Doing that would require much more intent, effort, and indicate that we do not have the right relationship with Him. We should strive to exalt His name . We are therefore ambassadors for Messiah, as though God were making His appeal through us. 2 Cor 5: 20 For we are His workmanship—created in Messiah Yeshua for good deeds, which God prepared beforehand so we might walk in them. More than that I hope you had a blessed & joyful Feast of Trumpets/Yom Teruah with your fellowship, family etc! As many of you know we host a small house church (The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship) and so we had a small gathering here. It was a wonderful time of celebration and fellowship. Nothing fancy. Nor does it need to be fancy. The children had a blast as well! Now that we are prepping for Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement; our family started a devotional study together. This is nice because after each section (since we are doing it as a family) the children, my husband, and myself can all type back and forth to each other with thoughts, guidance, and questions as we go. We are all pretty excited about it and the opportunity for growth in Messiah as a family as hearts and minds are prepped. If you have pictures to share from Yom Teruah please feel free to drop them on the Facebook page! * via the link below Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Well let's dive in: First: let’s establish that His Law (Torah) is eternal: Truth is the essence of Your word, and all Your righteous rulings are eternal. PS 119:160 So then, the Torah is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. Rom 7:12 Secondly: Establish the definition of Sin/Lawlessness: Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. 1 JN 3:4 Third: Words of Messiah: Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened. So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.- MT 5:17-20
So what is:--until all is accomplished or completed---? Answer: not until heaven and earth pass away- Messiah Yeshua Furthermore: vs 19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot /commandments and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. This statement should send us into prayer and reevaluation of what the romanized/western church is teaching. The Messiah said this Himself I and the Father are one. JN 10:30 Now a certain Torah lawyer stood up to entrap Yeshua, saying, “Teacher, what should I do to gain eternal life?” Then Yeshua said to him, “What has been written in the Torah? How do you read it?” And he replied, “You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” Yeshua said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.” Luke 10:25-28 TLV
The Scriptures show that Paul, an apostle personally trained by Yeshua, was still Torah observant some 25 years after his conversion, would that cause you to rethink the traditions of church fathers (men who did not write Scripture) who say the opposite? Yeshua plainly said He did not come to “destroy” the law. The Greek word translated destroy (Greek, katalyo) can also be translated “dissolve,” “demolish,” “abrogate” or “deprive of force.” Instead of abolishing the law, He came to fulfill (pleroo) it—which means to “make full,” “fill up” or “accomplish He fulfilled/accomplished the law in that He never broke it. He is SINLESS, (sin=lawlessness) thus taking the curse of the Torah/law that we, who believe, would not be under the curse any longer. - - -Rom7: 22 For in my inner self I COMPLETELY agree with God's Torah/law (and as you read you can see the battle Paul speaks of between the 'law of sin' this is our natural state of being, in sin, in lawlessness. You can see this working within him against the Law of God/Torah.) In conclusion : Who will rescue me from this body bound for death? Thanks be to God [He will]! — through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! To sum up: with my mind, I am a slave of God’s Torah ; but with my old nature, I am a slave of sin’s “ Torah .” Romans (Rom) 7:24-25 ------ Through Yeshua we are rescued from the curse/condemnation of the Torah/ law "The Messiah redeemed us FROM THE CURSE pronounced in the Torah by becoming cursed on our behalf... ”Galatians (Gal) 3:13 "I will put my Torah in their minds, and write it on their hearts." - Hebrews 8:10
Through belief in Yeshua, the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit gives the believer the "want to" and the "power to" be obedient. This is the "Good News" we are commanded to tell all people. (Eze. 36:25-27, Jer. 31:31-34, Rom. 7:18-8:4, Mark 16:15-16) But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord! For never have I eaten anything unholy or unclean. Acts 10: 14
This agrees with: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. In unrighteousness they suppress the truth, because what can be known about God is plain to them—for God has shown it to them. His invisible attributes—His eternal power and His divine nature—have been clearly seen ever since the creation of the world, being understood through the things that have been made. So people are without excuse— for even though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. Instead, their thinking became futile, and their senseless hearts were made dark. Claiming to be wise, they became fools. They exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image in the form of mortal man and birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things. Rom 1: 18-23 Prayerfully this reaches you. Prayerfully it spurns you to seek Abba YHWH more and push aside the traditions and false teachings that have infiltrated the ekklesia via the Roman deception.... Hope to see you all there! {**For those in the Facebook group, this post was written and completed before the documentary, "Messiah 2030" was viewed**} Well hello again scattered friends and family in Messiah Yeshua! I have been rather quiet for numerous reasons.... some health reasons, some life reasons (van broke down, garage broke, dishwasher broke etc) Praises to YHWH!! He has provided in each and every hiccup mentioned and all are on the way to being repaired or are already repaired... Some of my quietness on the blog is because I am unsettled in spirit. Anyhow, this is not going to be doom and gloom because that's not my style. I am logical, detail oriented, and a planner...All believers that belong to Messiah should well know by this point that time is short. We do not know the "day or hour" but we can see the signs of the times loud and clear and Messiah told us to watch for certain signs and recognize them. I want to use this platform at this point in time to implore you to get your house in order both spiritually, and physically. That will look a little differently for each person/family depending on several factors, lifestyle, location etc. But some simple tips. 1) Come out from among them: the world AND "roman-rooted western" church deception and walk in obedience to His Torah/law, keeping His feasts, Shabbat and guarding His ways 2) Homeschool your children if at all possible...
(The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship) 4) Do what you need to do to gradually become more self sufficient. Learn how to garden (We started a small family garden, we will be learning how to can, and are learning new skills as we go...) 5) Have a first aid kit, extra food and water, extra medications if you have a need for regular medicine 6) Whatever the world is focused on (sports, movies, political drama)-- you should not be. There is always a diversion. ALWAYS. Right here is where your focus and attention should live and breathe-->focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. HEB 12:2 The Western churches follow "another gospel" NOT the one delivered to us by Yeshua Messiah and sadly many of them have become social clubs. Very little discipleship is occurring overall.... You can judge this quite simply by looking at the number of people who claim to follow Messiah and compare it to the values our society is embracing, the rate of divorce and fatherless households, cohabitation, etc. We have an urgent need for authentic DISCIPLESHIP.
I am passionate about this topic because I love Messiah and I am passionate about the growth of His people. IF you belong to Messiah YOU WILL PRODUCE FRUIT OF OBEDIENCE. "If you love Me, you will obey My commandments"- John 14:15 The time of coddling needs to stop. Stand up & take your position in the body and march to the beat of His commands. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist when the times are evil, and after you have done everything to sand firm. Stand firm then!" Ephes. 6:12-14 TLV Ezekiel 36:26-27 Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach (Spirit) within you. >>>>then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will KEEP My rulings and DO them. <<<<<
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He trims so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides on the vine. Likewise, you cannot produce fruit unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and is dried up. Such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned. “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.” “Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love! If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.- John 15:1-10 TLV A few years ago I had a dream about the chaos to come... I have had 3 of them altogether. In addition Abba gives me a Bible verse every yr for that yr.... and it is always a prophetic word for that yr. sometimes it is personal, sometimes it is larger than me or us.... There is a pattern of urgency increasing. We can see plainly that Sodom and Gomorrah type behavior and the goals of the elite to create, "a mankind in their image, in their likeness" via AI. To merge AI with humanity via Neuralink...to recreate the womb via EctoLife.... etc. The elite are pushing for more and more control over humanity and limiting our freedoms. He has been ingathering His sheep back to: covenant keeping, bringing understanding to His people about the importance of Shabbat, Feast Days, guarding the commandments etc to remain in Covenant, producing the fruits of sanctification. He is coming...you can almost hear the Shofar announcement making way for the KING. Not yet....but He is coming, He is near. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! What a blessed Monday!! Getting ready for Passover and Unleavened Bread this wk!! This topic takes such a beautiful spotlight during Passover and ULB as we examine our homes to remove leaven (hametz) and more importantly our hearts and minds. But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of His Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7 TLV ). To walk in the light means to walk in the Torah (Proverbs 6:23). Torah: meaning “teaching with direction,” i.e. the type of teaching which enables and empowers one with a direction to proceed. A second meaning is from the word “orah,” which means light. One example of this reflected in the verse which states, “For the mitzvah is a lamp, Torah a light” (Proverbs 6:23).*inspired by Torah4Today So the *mitzvah* ->commandment is a lamp, Torah a light. we are to walk IN IT ie: {Torah = light} "Torah a light" as He Himself is in the light...... we have fellowship with one another and the blood of His Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin This is living the process of sanctification "For the mitzvah is a lamp, Torah a light" Prov. 6:23 The Torah is the: rod, the light, the narrow path that leads us in the footsteps of the, Master Yeshua, and the blood of Yeshua, "purifies us from all sin." STRONGS: 38. hagiasmos Sanctification: the process of making or becoming holy, set apart, sanctification, holiness, consecration 2. use of the believer being progressively transformed by Adonai into His likeness The Torah, indeed, sets us apart, in covenant to Yah as His people. Set apart, from all other people, because we choose to obey/guard His commands, His Holy Moedim, and walk in His ways separate from the world. For this is the will of God—your sanctification- 1 Thess 4:3 TLV Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing. Then I will take you in. I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.”2 Cor 6;17-18 TLV
The over-arching teaching in the western/roman-ized church is that the Torah is done away with and keeping the commandments is legalistic. Which is just not Biblically sound theology. While keeping/guarding Torah and the moedim (set apart Holy/Feast days and Sabbath/Shabbat) is not going to save anyone.... it is a joy to be pleasing to Adonai and there is a blessed peace and rest that comes in doing those things that are pleasing to Him. It is not a struggle or hardship. It certainly is not bondage as most of the western church would have people confused into believing. Through belief in Yeshua, the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit gives the believer the "want to" and the "power to" be obedient. This is the "Good News" we are commanded to tell all people. (Eze. 36:25-27, Jer. 31:31-34, Rom. 7:18-8:4, Mark 16:15-16) Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach within you. Then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will keep My rulings and do them. - Ezek 36:26 TLV A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be LIKE his teacher. Luke 6:40 TLV (ie: Yeshua who walked out Torah completely /perfectly) “For there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again does a rotten tree produce good fruit. Each tree comes to be known by its own fruit. For figs are not gleaned out of briars; neither are bunches of grapes gathered from thorn bushes. Luke 6:43-44 TLV ▪︎ You know them by their fruit. What is the fruit? ACTION, CHOICES, OBEDIENCE OR DISOBEDIENCE We know that we love God’s children by this—when we love God and OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS. For this is the LOVE of God—that we KEEP His COMMANDMENTS. And His COMMANDMENTS are NOT burdensome. 1 John 5:2-3 TLV “Why do you call Me ‘Master, Master’ and do not do what I say? Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and does them, I will show you what he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock. And when a flood came, the torrent burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built. “But the one who hears yet does not do is like a man who built a house upon land without a foundation. When the torrent burst against it, immediately it collapsed—and the destruction of that house was great!” Luke 6:46-49 TLV But He said, “Rather, blessed are those who HEAR the word of God and OBEY it.” Luke 11:28 TLV Now a certain Torah lawyer stood up to entrap Yeshua, saying, “Teacher, what should I do to gain eternal life?” Then Yeshua said to him, “What has been written in the Torah? How do you read it?” And he replied, “You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” Yeshua said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.” Luke 10:25-28 TLV You see that a man is proved righteous by works and not by faith alone. James 2:24 TLV = "You will know them by their fruit" “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15 TLV

Phil 4:13 Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! Well most churches teach people that the "law is done away with", "nailed to the cross"..... I used to believe them/that too. But when you examine scripture that is simply not what YHWH says.
TO DO WHAT? I will put My Ruach within you. Then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will keep My rulings and do them. - Ezek 36:26 TLV If you love Me, you will keep My commandments - JN 14:15 Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. MT 5:18-19 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of >>lawlessness!<<’” MT 7:21-23
The majority of us no longer "physically" dwell with Israel, but, alas wouldn't you know Yah already made provision for that? But now Yeshua has obtained a more excellent ministry, insofar as He is the mediator of a better covenant which has been enacted on better promises. For if that first one had been faultless, there would not have been discourse seeking a second. For finding fault with them, He says, “Behold, days are coming, says Adonai, when I will inaugurate a new covenant >> with the house of Israel<< and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not remain in My covenant, and I did not care for them, says Adonai. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Adonai. I will put My Torah into their mind, and upon their hearts I will write it. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And no more will they teach, each one his fellow citizen and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know Adonai,’ because all will know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.” - Heb. 8: 6-12 TLV Who is the "New Covenant" made with?
I cannot state this enough it is incredibly important for former "gentiles" to understand as believers in Messiah YOU HAVE BEEN GRAFTED INTO THE COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL. You have been brought near by the blood of Messiah who has broke down the middle wall of separation and proclaimed shalom (peace) to you who were far away. "So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household." If the firstfruit is holy, so is the whole batch of dough; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off and you--being a wild olive--were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree with its richness, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who support the root but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear-- for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you. Notice then the kindness and severity of God: severity toward those who fell; but God’s kindness toward you, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off! And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of that which by nature is a wild olive tree, and grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree? Romans 11: 16-24 (Believers are GRAFTED IN AMONG ISRAEL and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree) What is this Covenant? For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Adonai. I will put My Torah into their mind, and upon their hearts I will write it. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And no more will they teach, each one his fellow citizen and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know Adonai,’ because all will know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.” Heb 8:10-12 TLV The Torah is now in our mind and upon our heart All have access to Abba Yah by the Ruach (Set- Apart Spirit) given to us. When Messiah ascended into heaven after his death, burial, and resurrection, He sent the Set-Apart Spirit/Ruach Ha Kodesh back, whose purpose is to teach YHWH’s people and enable us to walk out the Father’s commands in our daily life. Walking in the Spirit means to follow the Law of YHWH, the Torah, through the leading and enabling of the Ruach (Set -Apart Spirit). See: Acts 2:1-2 Through belief in Yeshua, the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit gives the believer the "want to" and the "power to" be obedient. - Ezek 36:26 TLV Amen and HalleluYah! **source: Covenant - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be LIKE his teacher. Luke 6:40 TLV (ie: Yeshua who walked out Torah completely ) “For there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again does a rotten tree produce good fruit. When the torrent burst against it, immediately it collapsed—and the destruction of that house was great!”Luke 6:46-49 TLV But He said, “Rather, blessed are those who HEAR the word of God and OBEY it.” Luke 11:28 TLV Now a certain Torah lawyer stood up to entrap Yeshua, saying, “Teacher, what should I do to gain eternal life?” Then Yeshua said to him, “What has been written in the Torah? How do you read it?” And he replied, “You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” Yeshua said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.” Luke 10:25-28 TLV
Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. 1 John 3:4 While keeping/guarding Torah and the moedim is not going to save anyone.... it is a joy to be pleasing to Adonai and there is a blessed peace and rest that comes in doing those things that are pleasing to Him. The Spring Feasts are coming!! *Passover is April 5th sundown to April 6th sundown. * Unleavened Bread April 6th sundown to April 12th sundown *First Fruits/ Resurrection day: April 9th HalleluYah! Passover End of the Day, April 5, 2023 During the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is Adonai’s Passover. Unleavened Bread April 6 – April 12, 2023 On the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Matzot to Adonai. For seven days you are to eat matzah. On the first day you are to have a holy convocation and you should do no regular work. Instead you are to present an offering made by fire to Adonai for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation, when you are to do no regular work.” Lev 23:6-8 TLV First Fruits April 7 or April 9, 2023 Adonai spoke to Moses saying: “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael and tell them: When you have come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you are to bring the omer of the firstfruits of your harvest to the kohen. Lev 23:9-10 TLV
But on the other hand, when this One offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God-- waiting from then on, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. For by one offering He has perfected forever those being made holy. The Ruach ha-Kodesh also testifies to us—for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will cut with them: ‘After those days,’ says Adonai, ‘I will put My Torah upon their hearts, and upon their minds I will write it,’” then He says, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Now where there is removal of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.- Heb 10: 12-18 TLV ♡Why do we keep the Feasts? ♡YHWH commanded it and Yeshua did. ‘“These are the appointed feasts of Adonai, holy convocations which you are to proclaim in their appointed season." Leviticus 23:4 TLV ▪︎ whose appointed feasts are these? Adonai ▪︎ Did the command end? This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. Leviticus 23:21 TLV ▪︎ Did Yeshua Messiah, our Master, keep the Feasts? Yeshua kept the Biblical Festivals described in Leviticus. The record shows that He kept these days from an early age. “His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast” (Luke 2:41–42). Of course, He not only observed the Passover with His family in His youth; He continued to keep it until His death, even teaching His disciples to observe it with new symbols (John 13:1–7; Luke 22:14–23). It is also recorded that they observed the Days of Unleavened Bread (Matthew 26:17; Mark 14:1, 12; Luke 22:1, 7), the Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:1–24), and the Last Great Day (John 7:37–39). But observance of these Feasts did not stop when Yeshua died. ▪︎ The disciples/apostles? The book of Acts and the letters written by the apostles of the first-century Church leave us a record showing that they continued to keep the Biblical Feasts for decades after Yeshua’s death and resurrection. In the letter to the Corinthians, Paul reiterated instructions regarding how to keep the Passover with wine and unleavened bread (1 Corinthians 11:17–34). In the same letter, speaking of the Days of Unleavened Bread, he commanded the congregation, “let us keep the feast” (1 Corinthians 5:8), and went on to help them understand the meaning of those days. This was over 20 years after Yeshua died, and the Church at Corinth was largely made of converted/grafted in believers, not Jews. Acts 2 records the first Day of Pentecost (Shavuot) after Yeshua died. Here we see Peter, after receiving the Holy Spirit, giving a message on the meaning of that day (Acts 2:1–39), causing many to come to repentance, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit. While this was only a few weeks after Yeshua died, we also see that Paul was still talking about and observing Pentecost—even among converted/grafted congregations—more than 25 years later (Acts 20:16; 1 Corinthians 16:8). We see a reference to the Day of Atonement (Acts 27:9). Finally, we read Paul’s words in Acts 18:21, “I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem….” The Biblical record is clear: The Biblical Feasts were still kept by the fellowship's of believers well after Yeshua died and were an active part of the Church’s culture, for ALL believers. It is also revealing that the Bible shows that the Holy Days will be observed during the future millennial reign of Yeshua Messiah. Then all the survivors from all the nations that attacked Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, and to celebrate Sukkot. Furthermore, if any of the nations on earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, they will have no rain. Zechariah 14:16-17 TLV It is clear that the Bible shows that these days are to be kept by ALL believers—> This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. Leviticus 23:21 TLV But whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God is truly made perfect. We know that we are in Him by this— whoever claims to abide in Him must walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:5-6 TLV #FOLLOWINGMESSIAH YOU CAN NOW CONNECT WITH US ON FACEBOOK HERE! : (1) Pursuing the upward call | Facebook This is a public "personal blog" pg via Facebook to make it easier for readers to connect and share. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! The 7th day Sabbath is a sign or seal of Yah revealing His authority as the Creator of the heavens and the earth. By keeping or setting apart the Sabbath, we are proclaiming Adonai the One True God. It is not a Jewish thing as it was instituted by Adonai at creation; 2300 years before there was a Jew: God completed--on the seventh day—His work that He made, and He ceased—on the seventh day—from all His work that He made. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, for on it He ceased from all His work that God created for the purpose of preparing. Genesis 2:2-3 TLV
So Bnei-Yisrael is to keep the Shabbat, to observe the Shabbat throughout their generations as a >>perpetual covenant. << It is a sign between Me and Bnei-Yisrael forever, for in six days Adonai made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He ceased from work and rested.’” When He had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave the two tablets of the Testimony to Moses—tablets of stone, written by the finger of God. Exo. 31: 16-18
I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their false step salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke Israel to jealousy. Now if their transgression leads to riches for the world, and their loss riches for the Gentiles, then how much more their fullness! But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Insofar as I am an emissary to the Gentiles, I spotlight my ministry if somehow I might provoke to jealousy my own flesh and blood and save some of them. For if their rejection leads to the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the firstfruit is holy, so is the whole batch of dough; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off and you--being a wild olive—were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree with its richness, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who support the root but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Romans 11: 11-20 TLV
Shabbat was a gift given to believing Israel as a perpetual covenant, forever. To which, as believers in Yeshua we have been grafted in and "become a partaker of the root." There are natural born descendants of Israel that have been broken off because of unbelief and refused Messiah. "You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. " Rom 11:20 Not all of the descendants were "broken off" but some and gentiles were by faith permitted to be grafted in. This is not a new thing though as we see from Isaiah 56:6-7 TLV Also the foreigners who join themselves to Adonai, to minister to Him, and to love the Name of Adonai, and to be His servants— all who keep from profaning Shabbat, and hold fast to My covenant— these I will bring to My holy mountain, and let them rejoice in My House of Prayer..... The door to relationship with Abba Yah (God) has always been open to anyone (stranger and foreigner)willing to: repent, join to Him, love Him, serve Him, and keep His commands, holding fast to His covenant. Shabbat was made for man as an opportunity to rest and set aside dedicated time for: God, family, friends, and rest. Shabbat arrives at sunset every 6th day (taking us into the 7th day), week after week, month after month, year after year. That sunset-to-sunset timeframe set apart by the King of the Universe happens whether we choose to step into it or not. Where and how we choose to spend that time is up to us. And our choice will bear fruit: life or death. YHWH does give instructions for the Day with the ultimate goal of having us choose to abide with Him, our families, and other believers in a restful manner. This can look different week by week for every household. Only He and you - as parents, grandparents, husbands, and wives - truly understand the ins & outs of how your family functions and what your household needs on each Sabbath. So what are YHWH's boundaries?
Candles, Challah bread, and wine or juice Having a fancy meal every Friday night Dressing up in your finest clothing and jewels Blessing the spouses and children by a pastor or parents Spending the entire Sabbath in congregational meetings Assigned Torah and other Bible portions These things are not forbidden or bad practices. They are worthy traditions that have developed over the centuries to help us understand, honor, and step into the importance and essence of the Day. You CAN do any of the above if they help you to step into Shabbat with YHWH & each other to the best of your ability. Using them is not wrong.... but it is also not required. (As in, do not judge others if they fail to meet your expectation of what Shabbat should look like, outside of what is explicitly in Scripture) In our home, we do light a "Shabbat candle" which for us is a white candle from the dollar store. We light it and say some prayers to begin, and pray over the children, followed by a time of praise, and intercessory prayer. (As seen in the picture above) The candle stays lit from sunset to sunset (we do put it out overnight and re-light in the following morning, fire safety friends.) The children know that as long as it is lit Shabbat is in progress. The menorah is lit for church service. We need to be careful with YHWH's Sabbath -- not redefining it or twisting it with legalism and religious form -- and definitely not ignoring it or casting it aside. No matter where you are or in what circumstances you find yourself on any given Shabbat, you can honor the Day with obedience by doing your best to follow HIS instructions, with or without the traditions we have come to cherish. Honoring Shabbat as a set apart covenant time unto Yah (God) for: rest, study, worship and fellowship in the body of believers, has been a blessing 100x over within our family/ and fellowship {The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship.} I hope you too discover the blessing in keeping Adonai's set apart Shabbat and Feasts! Shabbat is our favorite time of the week!!
