Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! I hope all of you are doing well. I have been on this walk with Adonai for 18 years as of March 28th coming up.... One thing remains continuous. You are NEVER done learning. Tough times never stop coming, and hard lessons are never lacking. It is often through those times we grow the most. In difficulties and sadness we seek Him the most, we draw close to Him the most. Because in our breaking....He is molding..... Patience is one of the Fruits of the Spirit/Ruach. But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal 5: 22-24 TLV
"If possible," implies that shalom/peace is not always possible even with your best efforts. Boundaries are at times necessary to "live in shalom/peace with all people." For you cannot control the decisions and actions of others. You cannot control their perceptions, thoughts, or what they will say/do either. Being patient and longsuffering does not mean there are no boundaries to be considered either. You can set healthy boundaries for yourself. Others are not responsible for your happiness or peace/shalom and you are not responsible for theirs. So be prepared for them to not like your boundaries. Be rooted in the Word of Yah that brings: life, clarity and shalom. Peace/Shalom when others don't like our boundaries.... shalom when we know setting a boundary will cause a disruption, and shalom when people do not respond positively or cut you off altogether. Ultimately the boundaries are not for the other person(s) involved. They are for you. Prov 4:23 Guard your heart diligently for from it flow the springs of life. It helps to remember that, said individual(s), belong to YHWH. Pray as well... Lift them up in prayer for their own shalom, their own blessings, and walk with YHWH etc No matter what happens with the relationship. YHWH loves them and you should too. Love is not always in your face. Love can be hard, it is not always gentle sometimes it brings correction. Love does not always make us feel good and people can even resist love. Look at Yeshua: He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief, One from whom people hide their faces. He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.- Isa 53:3 TLV Sometimes we love from a distance, we pray from a distance.... But YHWH is ever near, and all individuals involved are never out of His reach. I love Adonai because He hears my voice and my cries for mercy. Because He bends down to listen, I will call on Him all my days. Ps 116:2 He is available to them too. Whoever it is; they are in His hand as well. (this psalm below, can be a prayer for you, but it can also be a prayer for whomever is on your mind) and you can release the situation to YHWH. Abba, I lift up _____ to You, Your Word says You are faithful and as our King and keeper, You, "will not slumber---Adonai is your keeper. Adonai is your shadow at your right hand. The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. Adonai protect will protect you from all evil. He will guard your life. Adonai will watch your coming and your going from this time forth and forevermore- In the Name of Yeshua, with love, amen. {adaptation for prayer of verses from PS. 121} A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the mountains-- from where does my help come? 2 My help comes from Adonai, Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip. Your Keeper will not slumber. 4 Behold, the Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. 5 Adonai is your Keeper. Adonai is your shadow at your right hand. 6 The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 Adonai will protect you from all evil. He will guard your life. 8 Adonai will watch over your coming and your going from this time forth and forevermore. PS 121 TLV Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13
