Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah. Whatever you do, work at it from the soul, as for the Lord and not for people. For you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as a reward. It is to the Lord Messiah you are giving service. Colossians 3:23-24 TLV This is a scripture my husband and I have discussed many times. Whether it is regarding: his work, me homeschooling, ministry etc. Expounding on this....I am expounding on it for where we are growing at this time. Others may minimize or belittle your: ministry, service etc. That's ok. Its not FOR them, although, by default function, people will be blessed by serving. Know Whom you serve. Keep on, keeping on. Keeping His ways: the Feasts, Shabbat and continuing in Bible Ways/ His Ways. >He's got us< The work is as UNTO ADONAI. Our ministry is not the typical western ministry. It is also not "for the approval of men." People have set up their own ideas that: overseers, pastors, leaders of assemblies/churches need a theological degree or to appear a certain way, that churches need to "look" a certain way etc...... Western cultural influences creeping in again. The church or "Ekklesia" is by definition a people group: from a compound of G1537 and a derivative of G2564; a calling out, community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both:—assembly, church. No scripture to be found for theological degrees, fancy buildings or any of that. While there is nothing innately wrong with attaining higher education. Biblically speaking it is not a prerequisite for overseeing an assembly of believers. Let's look again at the Apostles: Peter, Andrew, James, and John were all simple fisherman (MT 4:18-22) Even the Apostle Paul, after his conversion, continued to work his trade as a tentmaker to continue supporting himself. (Acts 18:1-3) Trustworthy is the saying: “If any man aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work.” An overseer, then, must be beyond criticism—the husband of one wife, clear-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine, not violent but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money, managing his own household well, keeping his children under control with all respectfulness. (But if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s community?) He must not be a new believer, or he may become puffed up and fall into the same judgment as the devil. Furthermore, he must have a good reputation with those outside, so that he will not fall into disgrace and the devil’s trap. 1 Tim 3:1-7 TLV Those who, by default, are blessed, halleluYah! Even, Yeshua Messiah, had Judas so we know in advance and because He warned us as well there will be strife and issues.... not everyone will value: you, your efforts, work, or ministry. People often have a similar attitude towards homeschooling. How can you homeschool without an educational degree? Yet, the home-educated typically score 15 to 30 percentile points above public-school students on standardized academic achievement tests. - www.nheri.org/research-facts-on-homeschooling/ Regardless of all else the husband and I have decided to continue, "focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith,"- Heb 12:2 Likewise, until next time I hope you join us in continuing to: "press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua." Hello friends and readers! What a blessed prep day! I hope this finds you well today. Well this life Lesson from an old memory came up on my timeline from 9/2013 (now I know about what was going on during this time... stretch of 5-6 years were some of the most difficult for me) ~~But here is what Yah spoke to me through some of those difficulties....Some of the hurts that were caused left lasting physical issues that will not go away. The emotional strife of the time, and the complexity of the situation that came with it were extremely challenging. Even so, Yah, took what looked to be a very depressing and sad situation and brought about: resolution, restoration, and forgiveness in some interesting and blessed ways. His ways are not our ways. He has restored everything to me that would have otherwise been lost. Including, the shalom & growth that comes with forgiveness. 1) The beginning of strife is like letting out water-- so stop a quarrel before it breaks out. Prov 17:14 TLV 2.) Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves in tender compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience-- bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord pardoned you, so also you must pardon others. Col 3:12-13 TLV
3.) Through when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1: 2-5
4.) But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law. Gal 65:22-23 TLV 5.) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Prov 15: 1 TLV 6.) Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. James 1:19 TLV 7.) "Confess your tresspasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." James 5:16 TLV We all fall short of the glory of God- Rom 3:23 Now that situation got resolved and I grew through it and Yah did some marvelous things for me and our family. A lot of growing is still left to be done! I mess up too and my tongue is often my downfall- BUT "Though a righteous man falls seven times, he will get up" Prov 24:16 TLV Amen & Amen!! Rise up, repent, and keep marching after Messiah! Grow, mature, do better. Everyday is a new opportunity and we can continue to grow into the likeness of Messiah. "This I recall to my heart-- therefore I have hope: Because of the mercies of Adonai we will not be consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning! Great is Your faithfulness. “Adonai is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” Lam 3: 21-24 TLV Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and readers! Sometimes our topics require quite a bit of expounding this one, not so much... The following scriptures explain how we are to handle these delicate situations. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about Torah, for they are unprofitable and useless. Dismiss a quarrelsome person after a first and second warning, knowing that such a person is twisted and is sinning—he is self- condemned. TITUS 3:9-11TLV Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught doing something wrong, you who are directed by the Ruach, restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness—looking closely at yourself so you are not tempted also. Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you fulfill the Torah of Messiah. Galatians 6:1-2 TLV proclaim the Word! Be ready when it is convenient or inconvenient. Confront, rebuke, encourage—with complete patience and instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2 TLV “Now if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault while you’re with him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother. But if he does not listen, take with you one or two more, so that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.’ But if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to Messiah’s community. And if he refuses to listen even to Messiah’s community, let him be to you as a pagan and a tax collector. Matthew 18:15-17 TLV
But we are not of those who fall back....we are of those who, "press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua." Phil 4:13 "Make it your aim to cling to Messiah. Abide in Him. Go to Him as your source of strength and the One your thoughts need to obey. Read Adonai's Word. Listen to sermons. Worship Him. Set aside distractions and claim time for Him. Understand that if anything good comes into your life, he will be the conduit. The dominant duty of the disciple is to cling to Yeshua. And when you cling to Yeshua, you fill your mind with Adonai's truth. You disarm the enemy and keep anxiety at bay. You receive Adonai's truth. And that truth sets you free—free from fear, free from dread, and, yes, free from anxiety.-Max Lucado, Anxious for nothing 2017* Phil. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--think on these things.
Through Yeshua then, let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips giving thanks to His name. - Heb 13:15 TLV The -sacrifice of praise- Interesting words.... When you feel broken and decide to pray and worship re-focusing your attention on Adonai.... things shift. You may not "feel" immediate relief, we also should not be guided by what we "feel" either. We keep pressing into Him. Because He is everything. He is the solution to any tribulation we may face.... He is worthy ALL THE TIME. Let me share a snippet from a social media post of mine from 2017 which is where that picture above came from... "I've been through 'hell and back,' over the past 15+ years (a lot of that simply from holding on to past hurts, and more recently how life has unfolded) with the roughest yrs being 2015-2016 I've felt and been utterly abandoned and depressed, crushed even.. I've prayed: angry prayers, questioning prayers, gave God the silent treatment while I muddled in the muck of my situation and emotions. I've been angry, sad, depressed, filled with anxiety/fearful. Satan and whatever forces of darkness follow him have pressed on my buttons too many times to count...It has taken years of: recovery, emotional healing, hard work, prayer, therapy etc to rise from the pit of despair. I AM BACK! I am the woman of Adonai that was buried and is now risen to stand in the gap for: friends, family, enemies, unbelievers, a corrupt nation and government.... my posts have changed bc the of Spirit of Adoani that is raging within! My burdens, my tribulations are my own to bear they are not the worst case scenario that could have unfolded and there are those and always will be whose story is far more challenging than mine. That stands true in 99% of life situations though for anyone. In a fight of faith, a literal fight for life...when darkness presumed victory. The will and Word of Adonai inside me, said, "No, rest here...be still and wait...wait on the Lord" I did. I am walking in: forgiveness, healing, intercession, and with the love of my life, my husband, and the blessings Adonai has entrusted to us. I am a living testament to the Power of Adonai in the lives of the broken. For that I cannot help but: share, praise, pray and refuse to be silenced or bullied into submission by a culture that rages against Him. No. His love is too great. His presence too awesome, His healing and forgiveness too marvelous to stay quiet. PRAISE MY LORD AND MY GOD. I stand. I am a survivor. Not of my own strength or power but His; even in my stubborn insistence on doing life 'my way' God protected and shielded me from death. Every bomb the enemy dropped in effort to depress and destroy my: hope, joy, strength has been tackled and triumphed. Fireworks of joy and celebration are now the testimony of victory that Adonai has won for His own! That is the GOD I SERVE! My hope is in Him."- ME That was just to share a testimony..... I know from experience and science can tell/show us that: depression and anxiety have very negative effects on the: heart, blood pressure, body, sleep cycle, emotions, will, and in some cases even the desire to live.
As believers in Messiah we are here on ASSIGNMENT as AMBASSADORS of a kingdom and on behalf of the KING : We are therefore {ambassadors} for Messiah, as though God were making His appeal through us. We beg you on behalf of Messiah, be reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:20 TLV Is there a time for sadness and grief? Of course... A Time For Everything 3 For everything there is a season and a time for every activity under heaven: 2 a time to give birth and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted; 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance; 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to discard; 7 a time to tear apart and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak; 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.- ECC 3:1-9 TLV But we are not of those who fall back....we are of those who, "press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua." Phil 4:13 click link for music: Zach Williams - Survivor (Live from Harding Prison) - YouTube Hello friends and readers. I'm going to write another post on this topic because it is real life. It effects a lot of people, many of whom think this is just how life is.... or they have no one to talk to.....or maybe they don't even understand how very important the topic is to Yah/God and how we can be directly in disobedience by allowing fear/anxiety to tackle us down and rule our thoughts.
