Hello friends and readers! I hope you have been well. The ministry on this side has been BUSY!! We have been blessed with the opportunity to share the gospel and truth of Torah (and the Feasts) again this past weekend. HalleluYAH for what Abba Yah is doing. Upcoming baptisms and child dedication on the way. What is evident it that there is a great sifting going on right now. Adonai (The LORD) is sifting the wheat from tares...the sheep from goats...in society and culture. I cannot tell you how many messages I have received from sisters grieving the division between them and family or the loss of "friends," because they stand in allegiance with Yeshua, the WORD of Truth and Life. Stand Firm friends in Messiah. Do not yield. I don't speak with men privately like that but I know from our small congregation and my husband's life. The same is applicable to men. The battle is real, friends. With this in mind I truly want to encourage you. I know especially when it is your family... a parent, a niece or nephew...a brother or sister.... a cousin .... etc that can really break your heart when they break off communication or refuse you access to children in your family etc. Yeshua warned us of this. That does not make it easier. But allow His words to comfort you. He will never leave or forsake you ( Heb 13:5). You have One who goes before You (Deut 31:8). He sees every loss, He counts every tear (Ps 56:8) “I came to pour out fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already ablaze! But I have an immersion to endure, and how distressed I am until it is finished! “Do you suppose that I have come to bring shalom on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on there will be five in one house in opposition, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law" -Matt 12:49-53 - Yeshua The world/culture will be offended... Yeshua causes offense and He speaks truth. He offended the culture to the point of death by crucifixion and He still spoke truth. The scripture image above from Matt 15: 12-14 says, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?" But He replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Leave them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”- Yeshua "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 (* followers of Messiah RISE UP, pull together, support one another, pray for one another, help one another and still speak the truth BOLDLY in love) #kingdomculture #Riseup additional resources: Ambassador for the King PART 1: Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 Ambassador for the King PART 2: Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 click link for music video: CAIN: Keep Following Keep Following- Cain (Lyrics) | On The Edge Lyrics - YouTube Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Well hi there friends and readers! I hope you are refreshed after a restful Shabbat with fellowship and family and a nice weekend. Well this is a long one- so let's dive right in...Grab your favorite drink: coffee, tea, sparkling water--get your fuzzy blanket or comfy slippers... and join me! 1 Cor 12:27 Now you are the body of Messiah, and members individually. The model of "church" in the west is very fractured and broken. But what many people think of when they hear the word -church- is a building, a location. But scripture tells us believers, "are the body of Messiah." Furthermore, ----do not neglect our own meetings, as is the habit of some, but encourage one another—and all the more so as you see the Day approaching.- Heb 10:25 So growth and accountability happen when believers gather. It doesn't need be in a "church building." Preferably, not a 501c3 that has government overlords because the body of Messiah does not belong in bondage to a government tax code/system where the government can attempt to constrain what can be preached. As a believer and follower of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I am grafted into Israel by the blood of the Messiah Yeshua. I’m no longer a gentile.
I did not learn this in "church" There are twelve gates into the New Jerusalem (what the church calls heaven), each one named for one of the 12 Tribes of Jacob. There is no "gentile" or "Christian gate". Messiah Yeshua says He came only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
I did not learn this in "church" The church teaches the law is done away and abolished at the cross. Messiah Yeshua said He did not come to do away with the law.
I did not learn this in "church" SIN is LAWLESSNESS. Sin is the breaking of the Law or Torah. To be without the Law is to be lawless. Lawlessness means not having the Law, Torah - and it means to be against YHWH. The Torah is good, perfect, just, right, pure, etc. Psalm 119. The Bible teaches against being lawless.
I did not learn this in "church". Scripture repeatedly says: If you love YHWH you will keep His commandments
I did not learn this is "church". What was nailed to the cross was the CURSE of the law NOT YHWH’s just, pure, perfect, good Law and Will/Torah.
I did not learn this in "church." While keeping/guarding Torah and the moedim is not going to save anyone.... it is a joy to be pleasing to Adonai and there is a blessed peace and rest that comes in doing those things that are pleasing to Him. It is not a struggle or hardship. It certainly is not bondage as most of the western church would have people confused into believing. Through belief in Yeshua, the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit gives the believer the "want to" and the "power to" be obedient. This is the "Good News" we are commanded to tell all people. (Eze. 36:25-27, Jer. 31:31-34, Rom. 7:18-8:4, Mark 16:15-16) Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach within you. Then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will keep My rulings and do them. - Ezek 36:26 TLV I did not learn this in "church." Exodus 20:8-11 is YHWH’s command to remember the 7th day Sabbath and to keep it holy --- it does not change, and it is the only one of the 10 commandments He specifically said, "REMEMBER, the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work.... I did not learn this in "church." In Leviticus chapter 23 (and other places), YHWH gave His people feasts and holy days and commanded they be kept yearly. They are memorials and rehearsals for future events that teach all about Messiah. HalleluYah! I did not learn this in "church." YHWH commands that I worship Him: His way, keep His commands and His Holy Days, not the world’s. In fact, He tells me NOT to worship Him the way the world worships their gods, with worldly holidays and events like Christmas, Easter, Lent, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, Valentines Day, abortion, materialism, sexual debauchery, and so many other worldly practices. These are things YHWH calls sins and abominations. Jeremiah 10, Deuteronomy 12:4, 12:31 The Torah, indeed, sets us apart, in covenant to Yah as His people. Set apart, from all other people, because we choose to obey/guard His commands, His Holy Moedim, and walk in His ways separate from the world. For this is the will of God—your sanctification- 1 Thess 4:3 TLV Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing. Then I will take you in. I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.”2 Cor 6;17-18 TLV I did not learn this in "church." YHWH lays out plainly what He considers food and not food for His people. Clean and unclean. Leviticus 11, Acts 10 I did not learn this in "church." If I read and study my Bible and endeavor to follow what it says, this *IS* the Will of YHWH, NOT legalism. Obedience is the fruit of my salvation, and sanctification, not the root. Obedience pleases Abba Yah; it does not trample on the cross or blood of Messiah.
I certainly did not learn this in "church." When Messiah ascended into heaven after his death, burial, and resurrection, He sent the Holy Spirit/Ruach Ha Kodesh back, whose purpose is to teach YHWH’s people and enable us to walk out the Father’s commands in our daily life. Walking in the Spirit means to follow the Law of YHWH, the Torah, through the leading and enabling of the Holy Spirit. I did not learn any of this in "church." In general, the church claims to be leading souls to Messiah, preparing the body of Messiah to be the bride of Messiah, and that it is THE representative of Messiah to the lost, but the church teaches nearly everything except the Word of the as Messiah taught it and lived it. Instead the church, in general, is turning many away from truth, leading them into spiritual adultery and apostasy, therefore denying the Father, His Word, and His character. The church is appeasing the world, modern culture, and bowing down to secular culture instead of, "coming out from among them." In some cases the "church" is not even distinguishable from the rest of society. The church teaches that we don’t need to regard the First Testament, because it’s history and doesn’t apply today. The church teaches that God changed from the Old Testament to the New Testament.
Please read your Bible. You need your own relationship with YHWH and understanding of what His word says. Coming out from the traditions of men and the "roman rooted" traditions in the church that are not Biblical in precedent. Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Well hello again friends, readers, and scattered family in Messiah!
I hope all of you are doing well as we near our weekly blessing of Shabbat. Counting down to sunset Friday eve..... Let's chat: I know at least for myself the past 3-4 months have really been a struggle/battle with anxiety due to some changes that were not going particularly well. My "fight or flight" was in full swing as I was frantically: looking, planning, seeking solutions..... Lo and behold Abba Yah had a plan I was unaware of that was unfolding behind the scenes that took into consideration everything I was freaking out about. Today after 3 months of: crying, fretting, anxiousness, lost sleep.....etc.... Problem solved and it was not solved at my hand or by my "grand plan." I imagine He must have been staring at me blankly shaking His head, "o daughter of little faith" I feel awful too. I know everyone has jokes about the lack of faith of the wandering Israelites.... how could they have lacked faith after all they had seen and experienced.... *crickets* well.... I know better. I know Him better.... Repentance is needed here, a U-turn in every sense of the word. Anxiety /fear/depression are such prisons. They may not have literal shackles but they are prisons. Do not be anxious about anything--but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the shalom of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Messiah Yeshua Phil 4: 6-7TLV Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise—dwell on these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—put these things into practice, and the God of shalom will be with you Phil 4:8-9 TLV When anxiety, fear, depression etc come to grip you and drag you away in those shackles... Think on these things {Phil 4:8-9} submit EVERYTHING to Yah in prayer WITH THANKSGIVING =the shalom of God will guard your hearts and minds in Messiah Yeshua. {Phil 4:6-7} Put on some worship music, journal, take a walk, pray .... do what you have to do but break the line of thought to destruction...break the line of thought to anxiety and "fix your eyes on Yeshua", the initiator and perfecter of faith- Hebrews 12: 2 Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 song: click link: (1) Keep Following- Cain (Lyrics) | On The Edge Lyrics - YouTube Hello friends and readers! I hope this finds you well. For the married friends out there.... So I can't speak for y'all but for us and probably the vast majority of you life is a blur of busy. Shabbat is our weekly blessing of rest... But, we do need dedicated time together. My husband and I try to set aside a few hours every Sunday evening to unwind together after the kids are in bed and watch a sermon, talk, and hang out. But we also aim to schedule "regular dates" I put that in quotes because we don't have any set schedule like, once a month, or anything but we are mindful of having dates together. Now prior to the lockdowns and such we would do the typical dinner and a movie (if we could find a movie that was remotely acceptable) or bowling....weather permitting dinner and a walk downtown on the canal etc. We are rather simple people and the simple thing keep us relatively happy. For us it is not so much the activity as the opportunity to spend time together and talk. When everything got locked down and for various reasons stress increased. These "date nights" became more important, except there was nowhere to go.... so my husband one evening ordered Outback food for dinner car side pick- up, brought it home, and we had a "date" in the living room after the kids were in bed. We really had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves. Ever since then "date nights @ home" has been in regular rotation for us. Picking up dinner, maybe dessert too, hanging out, playing a game, watching a movie or several episodes of something (appropriate) and just enjoying each other's company. These things don't require a lot of money. As you can see, you don't even have to leave your house. But make sure that you and your spouse do have some 1x1 time, just the two of you. However you do it for you. Just be intentional; stay connected, have fun, make memories, cuddle, laugh, talk, vent..... and just be. Slow down and just be together. Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and readers! What a blessed prep day! I hope this finds you well today. Well this life Lesson from an old memory came up on my timeline from 9/2013 (now I know about what was going on during this time... stretch of 5-6 years were some of the most difficult for me) ~~But here is what Yah spoke to me through some of those difficulties....Some of the hurts that were caused left lasting physical issues that will not go away. The emotional strife of the time, and the complexity of the situation that came with it were extremely challenging. Even so, Yah, took what looked to be a very depressing and sad situation and brought about: resolution, restoration, and forgiveness in some interesting and blessed ways. His ways are not our ways. He has restored everything to me that would have otherwise been lost. Including, the shalom & growth that comes with forgiveness. 1) The beginning of strife is like letting out water-- so stop a quarrel before it breaks out. Prov 17:14 TLV 2.) Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves in tender compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience-- bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord pardoned you, so also you must pardon others. Col 3:12-13 TLV
3.) Through when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1: 2-5
4.) But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law. Gal 65:22-23 TLV 5.) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Prov 15: 1 TLV 6.) Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. James 1:19 TLV 7.) "Confess your tresspasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." James 5:16 TLV We all fall short of the glory of God- Rom 3:23 Now that situation got resolved and I grew through it and Yah did some marvelous things for me and our family. A lot of growing is still left to be done! I mess up too and my tongue is often my downfall- BUT "Though a righteous man falls seven times, he will get up" Prov 24:16 TLV Amen & Amen!! Rise up, repent, and keep marching after Messiah! Grow, mature, do better. Everyday is a new opportunity and we can continue to grow into the likeness of Messiah. "This I recall to my heart-- therefore I have hope: Because of the mercies of Adonai we will not be consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning! Great is Your faithfulness. “Adonai is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” Lam 3: 21-24 TLV Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Hello readers and scattered family in Messiah!! I hope you are preparing to celebrate with your family and fellowship as we are. Such an exciting time. The Feast of Shavuot (AKA as the Feast of Weeks or Pentecost) is celebrated in late spring at the time of the early wheat harvest in Israel. Shavuot is 50 days or seven weeks after Passover, hence "Feast of Weeks." The 1st mention of the this Feast is in Exodus 23:14-17 TLV : Three times in the year you are to celebrate a festival for Me. You are to observe the Feast of Matzot. For seven days you will eat matzot as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Aviv, for that is when you came out from Egypt. No one is to appear before Me empty-handed. Also you are to observe the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors that you sow in the field, as well as the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather your crops from the field. Three times in the year all your men are to appear before Adonai Elohim. {You can also see: Lev 23: 16-21, Numbers 28:26-30} In the Biblical record it was later recognized as the day the Torah (Law) was given from YHWH on MT Sinai to Moses. The most well known mention of this celebration in the Second Testament is in Acts 2:1-4 TLV When the day of Shavuot had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And tongues like fire spreading out appeared to them and settled on each one of them. They were all filled with the Ruach ha-Kodesh and began to speak in other tongues as the Ruach enabled them to speak out. Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be immersed in the name of Messiah Yeshua for the removal of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Ruach ha-Kodesh. For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far away—as many as Adonai our God calls to Himself Acts 2:38-39 TLV Thus Shavuot is associated with both the giving of the Torah and the outpouring of the Ruach ha-Kodesh! How to celebrate? Well this may vary slightly from house to house and fellowship to fellowship. BLOW the shofar, read associated scriptures, worship, sing, dance, eat good food and praise YHWH for He is good and His mercy endures forever! -Ps 136:1 TLV Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu, melech ha-olam Shehecheyanu v’kiy’manu v’higiyanu laz’man hazeh Blessed are you, Oh Lord our God, king of the universe Who has granted us life, and sustained us, and brought us to this season- in the Name of Yeshua, Amen!! SHABBAT SHALOM!! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 |
