So what is the gospel message?
1. All people have sinned.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are set right as
a gift of His grace, through the redemption that is in Messiah Yeshua
(Jesus). God set forth Yeshua (Jesus) as an atonement, through faith in
His blood, to show His righteousness in passing over sins already
committed. Through God’s forbearance, He demonstrates His
righteousness at the present time—that He Himself is just and also the
justifier of the one who puts his trust in Yeshua (Jesus)) Rom 3:23-26 TLV
2. The penalty for our sin is death.
For sin’s payment is death, but God’s gracious gift is eternal life in
Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) our Lord. Rom 6:23 TLV
3. Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) came to earth, lived a perfect life, died, and
was resurrected to pay the penalty for our sins.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Messiah died for the
ungodly. For rarely will anyone die for a righteous man—though perhaps
for a good man someone might even dare to die. But God demonstrates
His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Messiah died
for us Rom 5: 6-8 TLV
In salvation the change involves both a turning away from sin and a
turning to God/ Adonai. We obey Him by keeping His
Commandments, not to be saved, but because we are saved.
Yeshua (Jesus) said: If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. - JN 14:15
Repent, therefore, and return—so your sins might be blotted out, so times
of relief might come from the presence of Adonai and He might
send Yeshua, the Messiah appointed for you. Acts 3:19-2

- Repentance is a change of mind.
- That leads to a change of heart.
- That leads to a change of action.
