These are just a few pictures of our celebrations from 2020....I don't have pictures of every single Feast and Celebration but, enjoy!
Get rid of the old hametz (leaven), so you may be a new batch, just as you are unleavened--for Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast not with old hametz, the hametz of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened bread—the matzah of sincerity and truth. 1Cor 5: 7-8 Then came Hanukkah; it was winter in Jerusalem. Yeshua was walking in the Temple around Solomon’s Colonnade. Then the Judean leaders surrounded Him, saying, “How long will You hold us in suspense? If You are the Messiah, tell us outright!” Yeshua answered them, “I told you, but you don’t believe! The works I do in My Father’s name testify concerning Me. But you don’t believe, because you are not My sheep. My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life! They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10: 22-30 TLV

The 7th day Sabbath is a sign or seal of God revealing His authority as the Creator of the heavens and the earth. By keeping or setting apart the Sabbath, we are proclaiming Adonai the One True God. It is not a Jewish thing as it was instituted by Adonai 2300 years before there was a Jew: God completed—on the seventh day—His work that He made, and He ceased—on the seventh day—from all His work that He made. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, for on it He ceased from all His work that God created for the purpose of preparing. Genesis 2:2-3 TLV
So Bnei-Yisrael is to keep the Shabbat, to observe the Shabbat throughout their generations as a >>perpetual covenant. << It is a sign between Me and Bnei-Yisrael forever, for in six days Adonai made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He ceased from work and rested.’” When He had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave the two tablets of the Testimony to Moses—tablets of stone, written by the finger of God. Exo. 31: 16-18
But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all those who are descended from Israel are Israel, nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s seed; rather, “Your seed shall be called through Isaac.” That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God; rather, the children of the promise are counted as seed. Romans 9:6-8 TLV I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their false step salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke Israel to jealousy. Now if their transgression leads to riches for the world, and their loss riches for the Gentiles, then how much more their fullness! But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Insofar as I am an emissary to the Gentiles, I spotlight my ministry if somehow I might provoke to jealousy my own flesh and blood and save some of them. For if their rejection leads to the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the firstfruit is holy, so is the whole batch of dough; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off and you--being a wild olive—were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree with its richness, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who support the root but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Romans 11: 11-20 TLV
Shabbat was a gift given to believing Israel as a perpetual covenant, forever. To which, as believers in Yeshua we have been grafted in and "become a partaker of the root." There are natural born descendants of Israel that have been broken off because of unbelief and refused Messiah. "You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. " Rom 11:20 Not all of the descendants were "broken off" but some and gentiles were by faith permitted to be grafted in. This is not a new thing though as we see from Isaiah 56:6-7 TLV Also the foreigners who join themselves to Adonai, to minister to Him, and to love the Name of Adonai, and to be His servants— all who keep from profaning Shabbat, and hold fast to My covenant— these I will bring to My holy mountain, and let them rejoice in My House of Prayer..... The door to relationship with Abba Yah (God) has always been open to anyone (stranger and foreigner)willing to: repent, join to Him, love Him, serve Him, and keep His commands, holding fast to His covenant. Shabbat was made for man as an opportunity to rest and set aside dedicated time for: God, family, friends, and rest. Honoring Shabbat as a set apart covenant time unto Yah (God) for: rest, study, worship and fellowship in the body of believers, has been a blessing 100x over within our family/ and fellowship {The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship.} I hope you too discover the blessing in keeping Adonai's set apart Shabbat and Feasts! Shabbat is our favorite time of the week!! For a deeper dive into Faith & Works click here: Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 HalleluYah! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 The Feasts of Yahweh are mostly ignored by the western church today (same as headcovering.) But the foundation of our faith is not western. It is Hebrew. Our culture and our ideals should not shape our response to the Word of God. Yeshua the Messiah kept the Feasts with His family and Disciples (Matt 26:29, Mark 14:25, Luke 22:18, 30) #FollowtheKING YHWH says these are MY FEASTS-> which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies. Lev. 23:2 The Feast Days hold a wealth of knowledge and lessons and they unlock important truths for us. They are also keys to prophetic events as they explain the plan and purpose of the Savior's coming and His role as our KING. It is time for all to be obedient to what Adonai established for the good of his people and to walk in the knowledge that He left for us. His Feasts are just as much a part of His Law as the 10 commandments . Let us be like the Apostle Paul who said, "I must by all means keep this feast" Acts 18:21 TLV The Spring Feasts have already been fulfilled both in the First (Old) Testament and prophetically in Yeshua (Jesus). The Fall Feasts WILL BE FULFILLED when Yeshua (Jesus) returns. HalleluYah! Adonai bless you and keep you! Adonai make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you! Adonai turn His face toward you and grant you shalom!’ Numbers 6: 24-26 TLV READ THE WORD OF GOD, be hearers of the Word of God.
Now this is the confidence we have before Him—that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have the requests we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:14-15 TLV
He says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6 TLV With his mouth the ungodly destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Prov 11:9 LACK OF KNOWLEDGE= DESTRUCTION THROUGH KNOWLEDGE= DELIVERANCE ❤️🌱The call and journey to cover : This is a decision/topic that I have studied in depth and my husband and myself have come to agreement upon via prayer/study together . I have struggled with consistency for the past 8 years or so for my own personal reasons.
However Scripture is clear (even if it is largely ignored in the western church) and regardless of my struggles or thoughts, scripture stands in truth. To God’s community in Corinth—having been made holy in Messiah Yeshua, called as kedoshim(saints) —with ALL WHO EVERYWHERE call on the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, both theirs and ours: Grace to you and shalom from God our Father, and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah! 1 Cor 11:1-2 TLV Paul's instructions are addressed to 'all who in every place call on the Lord Yeshua and is based on unchangeable points. Paul's writing to the church at Corinth is telling women followers of Christ to "let her be covered" - vs 6 this is a deliberate action 'let her BE covered"; especially in the gathering together of the saints and men should be uncovered. Head covering was not simply a cultural custom for the Corinthians. :headship order: 1) Abba God➡️Yeshua(Jesus) ➡️ man➡️woman this order is timeless and not cultural. 2) God's glory: vs 7 man is God's glory and thus should not be covered.... woman is man's glory and man's glory should be covered & vs 15 woman's long hair is her glory and her glory should be covered. Thus ALL glory belongs to God. 3) vs 10 because of the angels (angels also are timeless and not relative to Corinthian culture but to the body of Christ as a whole they are in observation) This is a symbolic reminder of God's ordained order. Which serves to conceal man's glory -> woman- >and woman's glory->her hair. It also serves as a reminder of God's ordained order. Similar to The Lord's supper as a symbolic ordinance of the Lord's sacrifice on our behalf in the same chapter. The concept no longer being fashionable or preferred in our modern era is of no concern to me. These 15 verses are directly preceeding instruction on receiving The Lord's Supper verses 17--26 which obviously are still upheld in western congregations. While the former is ignored likely due to it causing offense. Yeshua caused offenses when He walked the earth as well. Historically, women wearing a scarf, veil, or hat to church was a common practice in the west all the way until the 50's- 60's (feminist movement) and men respectably removing their hats for prayer, church was common place manners. My concern is obeying my Lord. I chose a simple short veil most commonly used among Mennonites, primarily because: it is simple and stays in place, serves its purpose, and is generally recognizable as Christian--- but that is my preference. Some women choose to cover only , during service, while others choose daily in view of 1Thess. 5:17 "pray without ceasing" in general it is easier for a man to remove a hat than for a woman to position/arrange a veil for use throughout the day. We tend to be more fickle about appearances and all. For me, covering has always served to bring to my attention areas of weakness/sin that need to be addressed :lack of patience, tone of voice etc. {{This is not a salvation issue though. Salvation is by faith/believing in the Lord Yahshua (Jesus Christ) Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 1 JN 1:9- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness}} There is a plethora of information available below and the HCSB Bible Dictionary also confirms scripture as you can see. The original Greek words that were used where English translates. 'cover' Charles Spurgeon, Martin Luther etc also spoke on the subject reinforcing it as a necessary practice. (KJV “vail”) Cloth covering. 1. Womens' veils. Rebecca veiled herself before meeting Isaac (Genesis 24:65 ). Her veil was perhaps the sign that she was a marriageable maiden. Tamar used her veil to conceal her identity from Judah (Genesis 38:14 ,Genesis 38:14,38:19 ). Another Hebrew term renders veil at Isaiah 3:23 . Here veils are but one of the items of finery which the elite women of Jerusalem would lose in the coming siege. The same Hebrew term is rendered, “shawl” (NAS), “cloak” (NIV, REB), and “mantle” (KJV, NRSV) at Song of Song of Solomon 5:7 . There, removal of the shawl was part of a humiliating assault on the king's beloved. At Isaiah 47:2 , the removal of one's veil is again a sign of shamelessness. Paul regarded the wearing of veils as necessary for women praying or preaching (“prophesying”) in public (1 Corinthians 11:4-16). https://www.studylight.org/dictionaries/eng/hbd/v/veil.html Holman Bible Dictionary Additional sources https://headcoverings.org/book-chapters/chapter12-what-constitutes-a-covering/ http://www.bible-researcher.com/headcoverings.html https://www.scrollpublishing.com/cgi-bin/sc/ss_mb.cgi?storeid=*10aa1248a706bb410f4e&ss_parm=A77aaa57a18d80656ecf59bdf4d091c26 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.[c] For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony does Messiah have with Belial[d]? Or what part does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement does God’s Temple have with idols?[e] For we are the temple of the living God—just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing.[g] Then I will take you in.[h] I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.” 2 Cor. 6:14-18 TLV Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the boasting of life—is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away along with its desire, but the one who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17 TLV Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 TLV |
