Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! How are you applying the Word to your life? Let's talk about it and challenge ourselves... Why is it important to master the "small things"? My first premise is that if you do not focus on the "small stuff" and apply it you have no firm foundation to build upon and everything else will crumble. The foundation being Yeshua and obedience to His commands those "small things" that people tend to gloss over like, being slow to anger, or handling disputes according to the Word ie : Matt 24:15-17 and many similar commands then: lives fall apart, relationships fall apart, marriages, fellowships etc. Yeshua must be the foundation of everything and we should strive to the highest degree to be obedient in even the "small things" for fruit to flourish in the sanctification process. Many people, the vast majority in fact, go to church/fellowship... hear a message, dissect their likes and dislikes about it, and then forget it without application. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through God for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing down false arguments and every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Messiah-- 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TLV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope all of you are well. Well.... we live in a time of mass confusion as people fall away from the Truth and all types of lawlessness (sin) is glorified, even idolized. Most churches are not even teaching the fullness of YHWH's Word. Strange teachings crop up from time to time. But we can always turn to the source of Truth and must weed through the mire and follow the Shepherd and He will lead us and lose none of His. But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; but whatever He hears, He will tell you. And He will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify Me, because He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is Mine. For this reason I said the Ruach will take from what is Mine and declare it to you.” John 16: 13-15 TLV YHWH did not leave us helpless, and, in fact told us in advance to prepare for such warfare. --> Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you are able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist when the times are evil, and after you have done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm then! Buckle the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. Strap up your feet in readiness with the Good News of shalom. Above all, take up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish ALL the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephes 6: 10-17 TLV If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper so He may be with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him. >>>>You know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you. <<<<I will not abandon you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:15-18 TLV
John 6:39 TLV
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony does Messiah have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement does God’s Temple have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God—just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing. Then I will take you in. I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.” 2 Cor 6: 14-18 TLV To Him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear His voice. The shepherd calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. “When He has brought out all His own, He goes ahead of them; and the sheep follow Him because they know his voice. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:3-5 TLV I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from the One who called you by the grace of Messiah, to a different “good news”— not that there is another, but only some who are confusing you and want to distort the Good News of Messiah. But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should announce any “good news” to you other than what we have proclaimed to you, let that person be cursed! As we have said before, so I now repeat: if anyone proclaims to you “good news” other than what you received, let that person be under a curse! Am I now trying to win people’s approval, or God’s? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Messiah. Gal 1:6-10 In all the passages dealing with spiritual warfare, there are no instructions to cast a demon out of a believer (Ephesians 6:10-18). Believers are told to resist the devil (James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8-9), not to cast him out in regard to believers. Demons are routinely cast out of the unbelievers. The apostle John declares, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Who is the One in us? The Ruach Ha'Kodesh (Holy Spirit.) Who is the one in the world? Satan and his demons. Therefore, the believer has overcome the world of demons, and the case for demon possession of a believer cannot be made scripturally. It is important that we do not allow personal experience to influence our interpretation of Scripture. Rather, we must filter our personal experiences through the truth of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Our experiences must meet the test of Scripture, not the other way around. There is a distinct difference between being possessed by a demon and being oppressed or influenced by a demon. Demon possession involves a demon having direct/complete control over the thoughts and/or actions of a person (Matthew 17:14-18; Luke 4:33-35; 8:27-33). Demon oppression or influence involves a demon or demons attacking a person spiritually and/or encouraging him/her into sinful behavior. "You have overcome them because GREATER IS HE that is in you than he that is in the world--"For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall again into fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15 TLV

Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! I pray your week is going well! Let's deep dive. Please view the attached video above which explains the quick history that I only touch on lightly. I take a more in depth apologetics (defense of Scripture approach)
SO--- Why did Christian women of the past wear head covering's/veils more prevalently than today ? (1 Cor 11:1-16) -secularization and assimilation into a culture that is NOT ours.- TERTULLIAN OF CARTHAGE “So, too, did the Corinthians themselves understand. In fact, at this day the Corinthians do veil their virgins. What the apostles taught, their disciples approve." CLEMENT OF ALEXANDRIA “Woman and man are to go to church decently attired…for this is the wish of the Word, since it is becoming for her to pray veiled." HIPPOLYTUS OF ROME In The Apostolic Tradition, a work ascribed to Hippolytus, he says: “And let all women have their heads covered with an opaque cloth…" JOHN CHRYSOSTOM “…the business of whether to cover one’s head was legislated by nature. When I say “nature,” I mean “God.” For He is the One who created nature. Take note, therefore, what great harm comes from overturning these boundaries! And don’t tell me that this is a small sin.” “The angels are present here . . . Open the eyes of faith and look upon this sight. For if the very air is filled with angels, how much more so the Church! . . . Hear the Apostle teaching this, when he bids the women to cover their heads with a veil because of the presence of the angels." AUGUSTINE OF HIPPO“It is not becoming, even in married women, to uncover their hair, since the apostle commands women to keep their heads covered.” Paul's instructions are addressed to 'all who in every place call on the Lord Yeshua' and is based on unchangeable points. Paul's writing to the church at Corinth is telling women followers of Messiah to "let her be covered" - vs 6 this is a deliberate action 'let her BE covered"; especially in the gathering together of the saints and men should be uncovered. Head covering was NOT simply a cultural custom for the Corinthians. :headship order: 1) Abba God➡️Yeshua(Jesus) ➡️ man➡️woman this order is timeless and not cultural. 2) God's glory: vs 7 man is God's glory and thus should not be covered.... woman is man's glory and man's glory should be covered & vs 15 woman's long hair is her glory and her glory should be covered. Thus ALL glory belongs to God. 3) vs 10 because of the angels (angels also are timeless and not relative to Corinthian culture but to the body of Messiah as a whole they are in observation) This is a symbolic reminder of Yah's ordained order. Which serves to conceal man's glory which is-> woman- >and woman's glory which is->her hair.
But now if we look at Strong's Concordance: VS 6 For if the woman be not covered let her also be shorn (shaven): but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven let her be *covered.* G2619( Katakalupto) from G2569 and G2572 to cover wholly that is veil-cover hide. Continuing down to vs. 13 "Judge in yourselves: is it comely (appropriate) that a woman pray unto God *uncovered? G177 -> akatalkaluptos a negative particle of G2596, G2572 = uncovered, unveiled. So Paul says, vs 6, "if the woman BE NOT covered let her BE shorn/shaven" per the definitions from Strong's. >If she is not "veiled" G2619 let her be shorn/shaven.< IF the "covering" in question is the hair many attempt to rationalize...then it cannot be something that is an action to be done "let her BE covered" and an action that men should NOT DO. vs 7 A man indeed ought NOT TO COVER his head. (G2619 to cover wholly that is veil-cover hide) is used again. Essentially when people argue the hair is the only covering. The argument boils down to "man indeed ought NOT to cover his head" which equals {men should be bald.} vs 13 "is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered (bald)? Go back now to VS 6 For if the woman be not covered let her also be shorn (shaven): but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven let her BE *covered.* G2619( Katakalupto) from G2569 and G2572 to cover wholly that is veil-cover hide. So again this argument falls flat --if the woman is bald (uncovered) let her be shaven/shorn---?! There is no logic there. Obviously you cannot be shorn if you already have no hair.
To God’s community in Corinth—having been made holy in Messiah Yeshua, called as kedoshim(saints) —with ALL WHO EVERYWHERE call on the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, both theirs and ours: Grace to you and shalom from God our Father, and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah! 1 Cor 11:1-2 TLV Amen! Let His will be done on Earth as it is in heaven! *{excerpt from: Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14} The falling away from wearing a headcovering went full swing during the rise of feminism in the 1960's..... it shrank slowly from: a full scarf, to a kerchief, to "sunday church hats," until women threw off the covering altogether. This in turn had women going full steam ahead into destroying the argument "hair is the covering" on their own by cutting off their own hair into very short masculine styles. Today now, look around and American culture, cannot even define what a woman is. Confusion runs rampant among both men and women. Men by and large have failed to lead. Women, since the dawn of creation, have continued trying to usurp and overthrow men of their rightful position. ~>for God is not a God of confusion, but shalom. As in all the communities of the kedoshim, 1 Cor 14:33 TLV <~ However, even today, most men maintain the custom of Paul by removing their hat, shawl etc for prayer, as it should be. vs 7 A man indeed ought NOT TO COVER his head. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the boasting of life—is not from the Father but from the world. May this Word encourage you today to challenge yourself to stretch and strengthen the application in your own life and walk with Messiah. Shine bright friends! But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror— for once he looks at himself and goes away, he immediately forgets what sort of person he was. But the one who looks intently into the perfect Torah, the Torah that gives freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts—he shall be blessed in what he does. James 1:22-25 TLV 1 Cor 13:1-8 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all that I own and if I hand over my body so I might boast but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not brag, it is not puffed up, it does not behave inappropriately, it does not seek its own way, it is not provoked, it keeps no account of wrong, it does not rejoice over injustice but rejoices in the truth; it bears all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things. Love never fails-- but where there are prophecies, they will pass away; where there are tongues, they will cease; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

" MT 18:21-22 “Then Peter came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Matt 5:38-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ l But I tell you, do not resist an evildoer. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him also the other. And the one wanting to sue you and to take your shirt, let him also have your coat. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[m] and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors do the same, don’t they? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than anyone else? Even the pagans do that, don’t they? Therefore be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. Phil 4:13 Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! This is outside of my normal topic posts. I am posting because of the days we are living in. Many who expect a pre-trib rapture have the potential to be devastated and potentially fall away under extreme duress due to placing their faith in a false teaching. Let no one deceive you in any way, for the Day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the one destined to be destroyed. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in the Temple of God, proclaiming himself that he is God. 2 Thess 2:3-4 TLV Yeshua clearly taught Post-Tribulation in Matthew 24:29-31 (& Mark 13:24-27). “Immediately *after the Tribulation of those days* …. He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other”(Mark 13:27). Yeshua said it clearly! The trumpet (why the Feast of Trumpets is so important and prophetic) will sound and the elect will be gathered immediately AFTER the **tribulation. **
Yeshua is not addressing “the Jews” here as pre-tribbers propose, but, is privately addressing His inner circle of closest disciples (Peter, James, John & Andrew) in this discourse (see Mark 13:3), to whom He had already announced the conception of the Church (Matt 16:18, 18:17). If the Church was to escape the tribulation, Yeshua would certainly have told these men who would be leading the early Church. Instead, He taught them to expect persecution or martyrdom, and to await their promised deliverance after those days. He would not have taught this here and then later revealed to Paul that the Church would be exempted.

The Spring Feasts are coming!! *Passover is April 5th sundown to April 6th sundown. * Unleavened Bread April 6th sundown to April 12th sundown *First Fruits/ Resurrection day: April 9th HalleluYah! Passover End of the Day, April 5, 2023 During the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is Adonai’s Passover. Lev 23:5 TLV Note: The traditional time to begin Passover is in the evening at the end of the day. Some congregations observe it on the prior evening. Unleavened Bread April 6 – April 12, 2023 On the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Matzot to Adonai. For seven days you are to eat matzah. On the first day you are to have a holy convocation and you should do no regular work. Instead you are to present an offering made by fire to Adonai for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation, when you are to do no regular work.” Lev 23:6-8 TLV First Fruits April 7 or April 9, 2023 Adonai spoke to Moses saying: “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael and tell them: When you have come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you are to bring the omer of the firstfruits of your harvest to the kohen. Lev 23:9-10 TLV
But on the other hand, when this One offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God-- waiting from then on, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. For by one offering He has perfected forever those being made holy. The Ruach ha-Kodesh also testifies to us—for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will cut with them: ‘After those days,’ says Adonai, ‘I will put My Torah upon their hearts, and upon their minds I will write it,’” then He says, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Now where there is removal of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.- Heb 10: 12-18 TLV ♡Why do we keep the Feasts? ♡YHWH commanded it and Yeshua did. ‘“These are the appointed feasts of Adonai, holy convocations which you are to proclaim in their appointed season." Leviticus 23:4 TLV ▪︎ whose appointed feasts are these? Adonai ▪︎ Did the command end? This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. Leviticus 23:21 TLV ▪︎ Did Yeshua Messiah, our Master, keep the Feasts? Yeshua kept the Biblical Festivals described in Leviticus. The record shows that He kept these days from an early age. “His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast” (Luke 2:41–42). Of course, He not only observed the Passover with His family in His youth; He continued to keep it until His death, even teaching His disciples to observe it with new symbols (John 13:1–7; Luke 22:14–23). It is also recorded that they observed the Days of Unleavened Bread (Matthew 26:17; Mark 14:1, 12; Luke 22:1, 7), the Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:1–24), and the Last Great Day (John 7:37–39). But observance of these Feasts did not stop when Yeshua died. ▪︎ The disciples/apostles? The book of Acts and the letters written by the apostles of the first-century Church leave us a record showing that they continued to keep the Biblical Feasts for decades after Yeshua’s death and resurrection. In the letter to the Corinthians, Paul reiterated instructions regarding how to keep the Passover with wine and unleavened bread (1 Corinthians 11:17–34). In the same letter, speaking of the Days of Unleavened Bread, he commanded the congregation, “let us keep the feast” (1 Corinthians 5:8), and went on to help them understand the meaning of those days. This was over 20 years after Yeshua died, and the Church at Corinth was largely made of converted/grafted in believers, not Jews. Acts 2 records the first Day of Pentecost (Shavuot) after Yeshua died. Here we see Peter, after receiving the Holy Spirit, giving a message on the meaning of that day (Acts 2:1–39), causing many to come to repentance, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit. While this was only a few weeks after Yeshua died, we also see that Paul was still talking about and observing Pentecost—even among converted/grafted congregations—more than 25 years later (Acts 20:16; 1 Corinthians 16:8). We see a reference to the Day of Atonement (Acts 27:9). Finally, we read Paul’s words in Acts 18:21, “I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem….” The Biblical record is clear: The Biblical Feasts were still kept by the fellowship's of believers well after Yeshua died and were an active part of the Church’s culture, for ALL believers. It is also revealing that the Bible shows that the Holy Days will be observed during the future millennial reign of Yeshua Messiah. Then all the survivors from all the nations that attacked Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, and to celebrate Sukkot. Furthermore, if any of the nations on earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, they will have no rain. Zechariah 14:16-17 TLV It is clear that the Bible shows that these days are to be kept by ALL believers—> This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. Leviticus 23:21 TLV But whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God is truly made perfect. We know that we are in Him by this— whoever claims to abide in Him must walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:5-6 TLV #FOLLOWINGMESSIAH YOU CAN NOW CONNECT WITH US ON FACEBOOK HERE! : (1) Pursuing the upward call | Facebook This is a public "personal blog" pg via Facebook to make it easier for readers to connect and share. I will continue to be a voice for Biblical truth as long as Yah is willing. This is a topic that American culture strongly detests as the confusion in American society runs rampant. God is not a God of confusion, but shalom. 1 Cor 14:33 TLV Throwing this back out because American media and culture has diminished it so much: Women's empowerment is not dressing so men lust after your body. It is not trying to overthrow men from their God given roles and responsibilities. It is not bowing to the culture in this country. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks fighting against slavery and racism. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Sunitha Krishnan rescuing women and children from sexual slavery. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Malala Yousafzai who spoke out against the Taliban's treatment of women and girls and had an assassination attempt on her life as a teenager and still fights for the rights of women in her country of Pakistan. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Leah Sheribu refusing to compromise her faith in Messiah while in slavery and threatened with death. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is the women in our communities helping homeless and battered women. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is fostering children who don't have a mother or their mother is not in a place to raise them. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is telling other women its okay that life isn't perfect, I got you! WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is teaching our little girls that their: minds, hearts, and values matter more than their outward appearance. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is raising the next generation to know and serve YHWH with: Torah instruction, boldness, elegance, grace, and the Fruits of the Spirit. Amen! WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT; for the called out, crossed over, Hebrew, grafted in, follower of Messiah Yeshua, believing WOMAN: is owning our God given roles in our families and homes as feminine and godly examples, supporting our husbands as a helper, without compromise. How far are you willing to cross into HIS ways? Separate yourself from American culture. It is not ours. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were “not a people,” but now you are “God’s people.” You were shown “no mercy,” but now you have been shown “mercy.” Loved ones, I urge you as strangers and sojourners to keep away from the fleshly cravings that war against the soul. Keep your conduct honorable among the Gentiles. Then while they speak against you as evildoers, they may—from noticing your good deeds—glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2: 9-12 TLV
