Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well. ROM 15:13 'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as YOU TRUST in Him so that you may overflow[ie:*to pour over the limits or fill beyond capacity-] with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (my emphasis) ~~ I love when YHWH shows forth these little gems- I included part of the dictionary definition of "overflow" into the scripture for a deeper understanding. Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well. Well I wanted to take some time after reviewing some old notes to just talk about "being doers of the Word," maybe just this one post or maybe a series of posts. We shall see. *shrugs shoulders*
Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding, and must be held in with bit and bridle or they will not come to you.” PS 32:8-9 Be prepared to step into action with faith. This is not a walk alone. The Ruach is with you and will guide you. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not condemned; but whoever does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not put his trust in the name of the one and only Ben-Elohim. "God never gives you more than you can handle"....is a popular quote.... To the contrary, He does allow it. It is not more than you can handle WITH HIM....but on your own....yes your strength will fail. He allows it “to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9). If you’re facing some overwhelming adversary or adversity and you wonder how YHWH could possibly deliver and work it for your good (Romans 8:28), then take heart. As the psalmist says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling” (Ps. 46:1–3). When our strength is failing under crushing burdens, the answer is not within. God gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak (Isa. 40:29). The power comes from Him to those who wait on Him. “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison” (2 Cor. 4:17). You might not consider overwhelming sufferings to be “light” and “momentary,” but think of your trials in terms of eternity . In the middle of affliction, sometimes the most difficult thing to hold onto is an eternal vision. Paul isn’t trying to minimize your affliction; he’s trying to * maximize your perspective.* Suffering doesn’t get the last line in the script. In this life, YHWH will allow more than you can handle, but the coming weight of glory will be greater than you can imagine. He cannot be our deliverer if we have nothing to be delivered from.... He cannot be our Redeemer with nothing to Redeem us from....He cannot be our Strength if we can do it all on our own....He cannot be our shalom if we are never troubled in this life..... John 16:33 "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world." Sometimes you just need a refresher/reminder of something you already knew- I hope if you take the time to read this & it is a blessing to you- Have an awesome day! Breaking bondage is never free. Freedom always costs something. Rom 6:6 “…..knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” 1 Cor 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Our freedom was purchased with the blood of Messiah. We are a blood-bought people, therefore believers, physically and spiritually belong to YHWH. He went so far as to place a seal upon us who believe: “After you heard the message of truth—the Good News of your salvation—and when you put your trust in Him, you were sealed with the promised Ruach ha-Kodesh. He is the guarantee of our inheritance, until the redemption of His possession—to His glorious praise! Ephes 1:13-14 There we see that “purchased & bought” concept again. We are not our own- we belong to YHWH. Our relationship with Him is one of many complexities-- it is multi-faceted. It is akin to seeing the top of an iceberg in the middle of a vast ocean but knowing that 85% remains out of sight. Each little glimpse spins my mind in circles- how amazingly deep is the depth of our All-powerful God, the depth of His love, the pursuit of His people, the privilege to be recognized as belonging to Him. Out of the many ways that we can understand YHWH as a: Father, King, Creator, Husband-- as we are the bride of Messiah,--- He is Omnipotent, YHWH-Yireh (our provider) our Rabbi or Teacher---He is in fact our Master and we are His people bought & purchased in His own blood. We are expectant of YHWH to keep up His end of the Covenant ie: forgiving us, loving us, always being there…..saving us from dire circumstances, and even performing miracles. Yet, we as a people are slack on keeping up with OUR end of the Covenant of accepting Messiah’s offer to complete liberation from our bondage to be a slave of righteousness to Him as our King-Adonai and Master. We seek out ways to excuse those things which we deem too demanding upon us, and our limited time. Wherefore YHWH commands in return: Yeshua replied: And He said to him, “‘You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire Torah and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. MT 22:37-40 I urge you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice—holy, acceptable to God—which is your spiritual service. Rom 12:1 There is this one thing that brings YHWH immense pleasure. Obedience- Messiah Himself says: “If you love Me keep My commandments.” JN 14:15 God is Merciful –All Powerful, Beginning and End of all. He is the Father who has adopted believers as children and heirs granting us astounding privileges in the here and now with greater things to follow. He is YHWH who sets the captives free from oppression whether of people or sin- Even though we have nothing of value to offer Him- He is pleased with a humble and contrite spirit before Him. For thus says the High and Exalted One who inhabits eternity, whose Name is Holy: “I dwell in a high and holy place, yet also with a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and revive the heart of the contrite.- ISA 57:15 This act of being “a slave of righteousness, and of YHWH” is not like the slavery that one would force upon a human being. Such as we view slavery normally. This is a willing servitude to YHWH out of heartfelt understanding and thankfulness for all that YHWH has done for us as a people. It is not forced upon us- just as the Hebrews in Exodus chose to follow Moses out of Egypt though some would rather have stayed- leaving left them with more questions than answers…left them with an unknowable future…. So also we must choose to accept Messiah’s invitation and choose to desire to leave our bondages in sin to become a servant to YHWH. Even this opportunity is only by His mercy and grace extended. Our service to Him is what is reasonably expected of us: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Rom 8:28 For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares Adonai, “plans for shalom and not calamity—to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11 The modern western, "roman-rooted" church has done all it can to teach people the opposite. That the Torah/law is bondage. When scripture teaches the truth: Torah is the way Ps. 119:1 Torah is truth Ps 119:142 Torah is life. Deut 32:46-47 Messiah is the way, the truth, and the life JN 14:6 Messiah = Torah in the flesh JN 1:14 I certainly will never comprehend the full depth of this intimate, amazing relationship between Creator-YHWH and human beings—but I thank Abba for the tiny glimpses and revelations He grants me to deepen my understanding and challenge my walk. As the title states this is going to be "short & sweet" But whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God is truly made perfect. We know that we are in Him by this— whoever claims to abide in Him must walk just as He walked. 1 JN 2:5-6 Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and ‘you will find rest for your souls.’ For My yoke is easy and My burden is light Matt 11:28-30
RESULT of obedience= I will give you rest
RESULT of obedience= you will find rest for your souls Why? vs 29 for I am gentle and humble in heart & vs 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Amen! Let's lay down these struggles that are so exhausting at His feet and learn from Him.... walk it out. This journey with Messiah is life changing and so refreshing! May your walk be blessed! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Hello scattered family in Messiah! May you all be blessed with shalom from Abba Yah. This journey is but a brief window into the fellowship intimacy to come... This priority of Yeshua's: solitude, withdrawal, and silence is visible in the gospels. Yah, brought these verses to my attention recently - One pattern we see consistently is that Yeshua often "went away" by Himself to pray or just to be alone. In Matthew 14 here we see He even, "sent the crowds away." > After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the hillside by Himself to pray. And when evening came, He was there alone- MT 14:23 TLV > Very early, while it was still night, Yeshua got up, left, and went away to a place in the wilderness; and there He was praying.- MK 1:35 TLV > But the news about Yeshua was spreading all the more, and many crowds were coming together to hear and to be healed of their diseases. Yet He would often slip away into the wilderness and pray. - LK 5:15-16 TLV > After Yeshua left there, He went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountainside and was sitting there.- MT 15:29 TLV > But after His brothers went to the Feast, He also went, not openly but secretly.- JN 7:10
Many people miss or skim over the importance in these verses. Yeshua regularly MADE time to: slip away, leave, travel alone etc and have time in solitude. Every pastor/overseer, caregiver, volunteer, and disciple of Yeshua needs to learn from His example and walk as closely to it as possible in every area of life. Yeshua invites us to join Him in solitude so we, too, can know Abba Yah in an intimate and personal way with: set apart, unhurried time to relax in His presence, read His Word, pray and rest. Shabbat is wonderful for this! But Yeshua, was found often outside of Shabbat, doing this as well.
How beautiful.... "Be still and know that I am Yah" PS 46:10 I know in my own life a time of separation has come in different ways...The effects have been felt, lived, and heard: BUT Yah is moving: Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble! And make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame will not be pulled out of joint but rather be healed. Pursue shalom with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God; and see to it that no bitter root springs up and causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. Also see to it that there is no immoral or godless person—like Esau, who sold his birthright for one meal. For you know that later, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected. He found no chance for repentance, though he begged for it with tears. For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched, and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and storm, and to the blast of a shofar and a voice whose words made those who heard it beg that not another word be spoken to them. For they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned.” So terrifying was the sight that Moses said, “I am quaking with fear.” >>>But you have come to Mount Zion—to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, a joyous gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are written in a scroll in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous ones made perfect, and to Yeshua, the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse the One who is speaking! <<< For if they did not escape when they refused the One who was warning them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject the One who warns us from heaven. His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.” Now this phrase, “Yet once more,” shows the removal of those things that are shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude—through this we may offer worship in a manner pleasing to God, with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire. Heb 12:12-29 TLV SO I say again, "But let me be found walking in obedience to His Word; what He has spoken and revealed." If it is a journey to be traveled with few on this brief walk of life, so be it. On this journey: He may ask of me what He asks, command what He commands, and take what He takes, and bless as He blesses...but let me be found walking in obedience. We are to be led of the Ruach, and are accountable to YHWH alone, not opinions of men/women. Whether they like where He leads or not...whether they agree or not...whether they call names or not...whether they understand or not. It is irrelevant. The time is now. "Let us run with endurance the race set before us, focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith."- Heb 12:2 YOU CAN NOW CONNECT WITH US ON FACEBOOK HERE! : (1) Pursuing the upward call | Facebook This is a public "personal blog" pg via Facebook to make it easier for readers to connect and share. Phil 4:13 Previous resources tackling a similar topic: Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! How are you applying the Word to your life? Let's talk about it and challenge ourselves... Why is it important to master the "small things"? My first premise is that if you do not focus on the "small stuff" and apply it you have no firm foundation to build upon and everything else will crumble. The foundation being Yeshua and obedience to His commands those "small things" that people tend to gloss over like, being slow to anger, or handling disputes according to the Word ie : Matt 24:15-17 and many similar commands then: lives fall apart, relationships fall apart, marriages, fellowships etc. Yeshua must be the foundation of everything and we should strive to the highest degree to be obedient in even the "small things" for fruit to flourish in the sanctification process. Many people, the vast majority in fact, go to church/fellowship... hear a message, dissect their likes and dislikes about it, and then forget it without application. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through God for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing down false arguments and every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Messiah-- 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TLV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! I hope this finds you well. Today I'm going to post one of my husband's recent messages/teaching. May this Word encourage you today to challenge yourself to stretch and strengthen the application in your own life and walk with Messiah. Shine bright friends! But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror— for once he looks at himself and goes away, he immediately forgets what sort of person he was. But the one who looks intently into the perfect Torah, the Torah that gives freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts—he shall be blessed in what he does. James 1:22-25 TLV 1 Cor 13:1-8 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all that I own and if I hand over my body so I might boast but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not brag, it is not puffed up, it does not behave inappropriately, it does not seek its own way, it is not provoked, it keeps no account of wrong, it does not rejoice over injustice but rejoices in the truth; it bears all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things. Love never fails-- but where there are prophecies, they will pass away; where there are tongues, they will cease; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Jer 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and incurable—who can know it?” JN3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. " MT 18:21-22 “Then Peter came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Matt 5:38-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ l But I tell you, do not resist an evildoer. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him also the other. And the one wanting to sue you and to take your shirt, let him also have your coat. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[m] and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors do the same, don’t they? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than anyone else? Even the pagans do that, don’t they? Therefore be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. This week and moving forward, thoughtfully and prayerfully apply the scriptures to your life and at work in your life. --But the one who looks intently into the perfect Torah, the Torah that gives freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts--he shall be blessed in what he does.-- James 1:25 TLV (JH-> my husband's teaching, 1/28/22- The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship)) YOU CAN NOW CONNECT WITH US ON FACEBOOK HERE! : (1) Pursuing the upward call | Facebook This is a public "personal blog" pg via Facebook to make it easier for readers to connect and share. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! I hope this finds you well. I am not one to bow down and go with the "flow." I will continue to be a voice for Biblical truth as long as Yah is willing. This is a topic that American culture strongly detests as the confusion in American society runs rampant. God is not a God of confusion, but shalom. 1 Cor 14:33 TLV Throwing this back out because American media and culture has diminished it so much: Women's empowerment is not dressing so men lust after your body. It is not trying to overthrow men from their God given roles and responsibilities. It is not bowing to the culture in this country. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks fighting against slavery and racism. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Sunitha Krishnan rescuing women and children from sexual slavery. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Malala Yousafzai who spoke out against the Taliban's treatment of women and girls and had an assassination attempt on her life as a teenager and still fights for the rights of women in her country of Pakistan. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is Leah Sheribu refusing to compromise her faith in Messiah while in slavery and threatened with death. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is the women in our communities helping homeless and battered women. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is fostering children who don't have a mother or their mother is not in a place to raise them. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is telling other women its okay that life isn't perfect, I got you! WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is teaching our little girls that their: minds, hearts, and values matter more than their outward appearance. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT is raising the next generation to know and serve YHWH with: Torah instruction, boldness, elegance, grace, and the Fruits of the Spirit. Amen! WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT; for the called out, crossed over, Hebrew, grafted in, follower of Messiah Yeshua, believing WOMAN: is owning our God given roles in our families and homes as feminine and godly examples, supporting our husbands as a helper, without compromise. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony does Messiah have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement does God’s Temple have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God—just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing. Then I will take you in. I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.” 2 Cor 6: 14-18 TLV I encourage each of you to examine yourselves. How far are you willing to cross into HIS ways? Separate yourself from American culture. It is not ours. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were “not a people,” but now you are “God’s people.” You were shown “no mercy,” but now you have been shown “mercy.” Loved ones, I urge you as strangers and sojourners to keep away from the fleshly cravings that war against the soul. Keep your conduct honorable among the Gentiles. Then while they speak against you as evildoers, they may—from noticing your good deeds—glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2: 9-12 TLV
