1)Here are the Gregorian dates for the Biblical Feasts in 2022. These are the Appointed Moadim of Adonai, which you are to proclaim to be holy convocations--MY MOADIM.... (Lev23:2) Spring Feasts Passover April 15, 2022 These are the appointed feasts of Adonai, holy convocations which you are to proclaim in their appointed season. During the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is Adonai’s Passover. (Leviticus 23:4-5 TLV) Get rid of the old hametz (leaven), so you may be a new batch, just as you are unleavened--for Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast not with old hametz, the hametz of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened bread—the matzah of sincerity and truth. 1Cor 5: 7-8 Note: The traditional time to begin Passover is in the evening at the end of the day. Unleavened Bread April 16 – April 22, 2022 On the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Matzot to Adonai. For seven days you are to eat matzah. On the first day you are to have a holy convocation and you should do no regular work. Instead you are to present an offering made by fire to Adonai for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation, when you are to do no regular work. (Leviticus 23:6-8 TLV) First Fruits April 17, 2022 When you have come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you are to bring the omer of the firstfruits of your harvest to the kohen. He is to wave the omer before Adonai, to be accepted for you. On the morrow after the Shabbat, the kohen is to wave it. (Leviticus 23:10-11 TLV)
Shavuot/Pentecost June 5, 2022 Then you are to count from the morrow after the Shabbat, from the day that you brought the omer of the wave offering, seven complete Shabbatot. Until the morrow after the seventh Shabbat you are to count fifty days, and then present a new grain offering to Adonai. (Leviticus 23:15-16 TLV) When the day of Shavuot had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And tongues like fire spreading out appeared to them and settled on each one of them. Acts 2:1-4 TLV Fall Feasts Yom Teruah/ Feast of Trumpets September 26, 2022 In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a Shabbat rest, a memorial of blowing (shofar), a holy convocation. You are to do no regular work, and you are to present an offering made by fire to Adonai. (Leviticus 23:24-25 TLV) Trumpets/shofars in scripture are used for many reasons:
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruptibility, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this corruptible will have put on incorruptibility and this mortal will have put on immortality- 1 Cor 15: 52-54 TLV For the Lord Himself shall come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the blast of God’s shofar, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. 1 Thess. 4: 16 TLV Yom Kippur/ Atonement October 5, 2022 The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippur, a holy convocation to you, so you are to afflict yourselves. You are to bring an offering made by fire to Adonai. You are not to do any kind of work on that set day, for it is Yom Kippur, to make atonement for you before Adonai your God. (Leviticus 23:27-28 TLV)
> Yeshua is our Kohen Gadol (High Priest) > Yeshua: He said, "Behold, I come to do your will." He takes away the first to establish the second By His will we have been made holy though the OFFERING of the body of Messiah Yeshua once for all. Indeed, every kohen stands day by day serving and offering the same sacrifices again, and, again, which can never take away sins. BUT on the other hand, when this ONE offered FOR ALL TIME a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God --waiting from then on, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. For by one offering He has perfected forever those being made holy HEB 10: 10-14 TLV As with the Feasts the sacrifices and offerings of the 1st Testament were a foreshadow of Yeshua our Messiah to come. When John the Baptist stepped forward in John 1:29 and introduced Yeshua/Jesus as the Lamb of God he did so as the final Old Testament prophet, the son of a priest, and as the chosen forerunner of Messiah. He identified Yeshua/ Jesus as the Passover Lamb of God, the final sacrifice for transgression of the Torah or law as shown in 1 JN 3:4 Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. Children, don’t let anyone deceive you — it is the person that keeps on doing what is right who is righteous, just as God is righteous. (1 Jo) 3:4, 7 CJB other translations state it as: Everyone practicing sin also practices lawlessness—indeed, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4 TLV YHWH provided Yeshua as the final sacrifice. In conclusion sacrifices are no longer needed because of this. The next day, John sees Yeshua (Jesus) coming to him and says, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! JN 1:29 TLV Yeshua is our Great High Priest: For we do not have a kohen gadol [high priest] who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all the same ways—yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15 TLV Through Yeshua we are rescued from THE CURSE OF THE LAW. Not the Law itself. See:
Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles October 10 – October 17, 2022 On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Feast of Sukkot, for seven days to Adonai. On the first day there is to be a holy convocation--you are to do no laborious work. For seven days you are to bring an offering by fire to Adonai. (Leviticus 23:34-36 TLV) The eighth day will be a holy convocation to you, and you are to bring an offering by fire to Adonai. It is a solemn assembly--you should do no laborious work. (Leviticus 23:36 TLV) And on in the future: Then all the survivors from all the nations that attacked Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, (The Lord of Hosts) and to celebrate Sukkot. 17 Furthermore, if any of the nations on earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, they will have no rain. Zech 14: 16-17 TLV (the Feast will be kept in the future with a punishment of "no rain" for those nations which refuse) In summary we keep the Feasts because Yah commanded it: These are the moadim of Adonai (<-the feasts of the Lord) which you are to proclaim to be holy convocations..Lev 23:37 Yeshua kept them. They will be kept in the future as commanded by God in Zechariah and they hold a wealth of knowledge and information about the Messiah of prophesy fulfilled and to be fulfilled. Yeshua kept Passover, He kept Tabernacles & He kept the Feasts. He is sinless/a lawkeeper before God, He is YHWH in the flesh---The Word made flesh---and it is commanded, in the Word, to keep them. These are the FEASTS OF ADONAI Lev 23:37
Grafted into Israel: If the firstfruit is holy, so is the whole batch of dough; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 But if some of the branches were broken off and you—being a wild olive--were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree with its richness, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who support the root but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear— Romans 11: 16-20 TLV The Feast of Dedication/Hanukkah is not a commanded Feast or Moadim. However, Yeshua did celebrate it and used it as an opportunity to present the gospel in the temple: SEE JOHN 10: 23-32 Yeshua made a three-day journey from Nazareth to be in the Temple during the Feast of Dedication/Hanukkah. "Yeshua was walking in the Temple around Solomon’s Colonnade."----- addtl Feast posts: Feast pictures 2020 1) Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 2) Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 3) The Feast of Dedication/ Hannukah; Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 HalleluYah! Hi friends and scattered family in Messiah!!!
Many of you know, and some of you are regular attendees and now family, with us through the ministry that Abba Yah has called us into.... the House Fellowship He has assigned to us. The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship Statement of Faith - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 I feel it is time to address this topic and spark some internal evaluation and intentional conversations/thoughts about the subject. Shortly before the Covid lockdowns started and schools began shutting down, and interestingly, churches around the world including out local congregations starting locking their doors and not meeting or meeting online only. Abba placed it upon us to start meeting in our home with other believers as we walked this set-apart Torah discipleship after Yeshua. So we did. We also started homeschooling our children. So when things went full swing with: fear, lockdowns, and hysteria....nothing for us really changed. Our kids continued with their homeschool lessons daily. No masks, no missing school, no virtual learning because they were home with me. Our fellowship continued meeting weekly at 5pm on Shabbat for: worship, service, followed by dinner. We met in person in our home throughout this whole thing. {IF someone did get sick with a fever, said individual used personal judgement and would stay home if needed.} We prayed over the sick, and we kept it moving- not forsaking the gathering together of the assembly-- We are now in the start of yr 3. A lot has happened with growth, and services we have been blessed to start and maintain: a food pantry, and meeting needs for individuals as they arise.... baby supplies, coats, Bibles, food, bills etc Our fellowship has now purchased: baptismals, folding tables, chairs for larger celebrations and gatherings, keep a stocked pantry, with Bibles as well. This yr our fellowship is starting a garden which the overflow can help with produce for the pantry as well. This year we have also started a ladies Bible Study twice a month. We see in the book of ACTS they met from house to house to break bread.... As our local churches have locked their doors or went virtual in the shadows of a virus and broken fellowship, as they have left: the elderly, the depressed, the single parents and adults -with no resources or lost in the shuffle. These tiny house fellowships are now flourishing. Our fellowship is a FAMILY we hold each other accountable, we meet needs as they arise, we encourage, we pray together..... and we do not forsake the instructions we were given. It is often a shock to people that the atmosphere is so different there is no choir, no stage etc.... It is a circle of people in our living room. When we run out of chairs we go pull folding chairs from the garage and move furniture to make space. It is different. It is raw, authentic, and requires us to walk out the Fruit of the Spirit to the best of our abilities to deal with all the nuances of: relationships, emotions, good days, bad days, changes, struggling families, addictions, troubled marriages, single parents etc. There is no government intrusion, no 501c3.....no outside influence. There is simply Bible and Fellowship. Yes we have a method for distribution of funds to keep checks and balances....but there is no overhead cost to the Fellowship for a building, utilities, employees etc.
Our Western churches follow "another gospel" not the one delivered to us by Yeshua Messiah and sadly many of them have become social clubs. Very little discipleship is occurring overall.... You can judge this quite simply by looking at the number of people who claim to follow Messiah and compare it to the values our society is embracing, the rate of divorce and fatherless households, cohabitation, etc. We have an urgent need for authentic DISCIPLESHIP. The western church loves the idea of "mental agreement" with scripture with no accountability and no FRUIT. Thus the western church is aiming to blend in and not upset the dynamics of the culture. Where as we are told to be SET APART, and COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM. We should be leading not blending in or following. I am passionate about this topic because I love Messiah and I am passionate about the growth of His people. IF you belong to Messiah YOU WILL PRODUCE FRUIT OF OBEDIENCE. "If you love Me, you will obey My commandments"- John 14:15 The time of coddling needs to stop. Stand up & take your position in the body and march to the beat of His commands. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist when the times are evil, and after you have done everything to sand firm. Stand firm then!" Ephes. 6:12-14 TLV Ezekiel 36:26-27 Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach (Spirit) within you. >>>>then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will KEEP My rulings and DO them. <<<<<
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He trims so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides on the vine. Likewise, you cannot produce fruit unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and is dried up. Such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned. “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.” “Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love! If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.- John 15:1-10 TLV Right now the decision of which church/fellowship to go to and where is a free choice...but a day is coming and approaching where we will need our little "tribe" of believers. The difficulties ahead will be just that difficult. The Narrow Way Torah Observant Fellowship is committed to sticking together though ups and downs and sharing what we have in common with one another as there is need through the days of trial ahead....and until then. We are set apart unto Yeshua. Home Church How To Start One - YouTube HalleluYah! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 New Covenant Foretold “Behold, days are coming” —it is a declaration of Adonai-- “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they broke My covenant, though I was a husband to them.” it is a declaration of Adonai. “But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days” —it is a declaration of Adonai-- “I will put My Torah within them. Yes, I will write it on their heart. I will be their God and they will be My people. No longer will each teach his neighbor or each his brother, saying: ‘Know Adonai,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.” it is a declaration of Adonai. “For I will forgive their iniquity, their sin I will remember no more.” Jeremiah 31:30-33 TLV
Speaking of new covenant- Ezekiel 36:26-37 TLV God in His great mercy and compassion gave says: Ezekiel 36:26-27 Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach (Spirit) within you. >>>>then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will KEEP My rulings and DO them. <<<<<
Shama/ Shema or {HEAR} in english does not simply mean to listen as we can see it is to be: obedient, careful, "cause to" obey, to be diligent etc the image to the left there is from Strong's Concordance. This is to allow the words to sink in, provide understanding, and generate a response. In other words, in Hebrew, “hearing” and “doing” are basically the same thing, What is the 1st instruction given after the announcement and proclamation the "Lord our God is One" VS 5-> Love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments- Yeshua (JN 14:15) TLV
The 2nd or New Covenant is a renewed promise NOT a new law or lack thereof as is often taught in western churches. The 1st or Old Covenant had a Holy Place on the earth. A tent was set up, later followed by the Temple. There was a place called the Holiest Place, which had the golden altar for burning incense and the Ark of the Covenant, entirely covered with gold. In the Ark were the gold jar containing the mana, Aaron’s rod that sprouted and the stone Tablets of the Covenant; With things so arranged, the Kohen (priest) goes into the outer tent all the time to discharge their duties; but only the Kohen Gadol (High Priest) enters the inner one; and he goes in only once a year, and he must always bring blood, which he offers both for himself and for the sins committed in ignorance by the people. But when the Messiah appeared as Kohen Gadol through the greater and more perfect Tent which is not man-made, He entered the Holiest Place once and for all. And He entered not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of His own blood, thus setting people the redeemed free forever.
( they performed, and the blood covered their sins each year) so the covenant that was renewed/new was the promise of sins permanently forgiven not covered year by year. Temple service was given over to our Kogen Gadol (High Priest) Yeshua. In obedience with our faith that Yeshua once and for all entered the holy of holies with his blood washing away our sins forever not year to year and circumcision is of the heart not the foreskin (with the Torah/Law of God in our hearts, not on tablets of stone) scripture -> He did the same with the cup after the meal, saying, “This cup is the New Covenant, ratified by my blood, which is being poured out for you." Luke 22:20 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments- Yeshua (JN 14:15) TLV

This blog was actually taken from my Bible notes as I was going through some of them today. I hope this finds you well on this Prep Day! Shabbat is fast approaching and I cannot wait!! Let's dig into the identity of the children of Abraham.... ~Father Abraham had many sons, and many sons had father Abraham....~ ehem, excuse me I had to.... moving on! God also said to Abraham, “As for you, My covenant you must keep, you and your seed after you throughout their generations" Gen 17:9 TLV
"those who have faith are children of Abraham"----"So then, the faithful are blessed along with Abraham"
The commonwealth of ISRAEL! {1 bride of Messiah= Believing Israel with both gentile and native} Becoming a partaker of the ROOT-> Yeshua.
Some of native Israel was broken off for unbelief and some "outsiders/gentiles" have been grafted into ISRAEL. I put emphasis on that because the western church teaches that ignorance of the 1st/Old Testement and shoving it to the wayside is somehow acceptable. It is not. The covenant has always been with Israel and ISRAEL is His chosen people. So you are a part of Israel or a part of the world--- option 1) native Israel; believer in Messiah obeying the covenant out of love (JN 1:15) option 2) grafted in; believer in Messiah obeying the covenant out of love (JN 14:15) option 3) Lost in the world and a slave to sin (ie: lawlessness)
Like any false teacher or false prophet the majority of western Christianity as we know it has bits and pieces of truth. But overall is largely misled going all the way back to the Roman Empire. When I am trying to explain Torah Obedience and Covenant in a short span of time, briefly-- I say something like this: "Keep it simple. We follow Yeshua Messiah. He kept Shabbat- so do we. He kept the Feasts--so do we. He prayed over people for healing-- so do we. He kept the Commandments/Torah-- we aim to keep His commandments because we love Him and He said, " if you love Me you will keep My commandments." (JN 14:15) we are FOLLOWING our Master and Messiah and doing as He did. We are not following: traditions of men, traditions of family....what any local church teaches...what a denomination teaches. We are following Yeshua." Know who you are in Messiah and walk it out in boldness! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 BELIEVERS: You are an empowered man or woman created in the image of God with a purpose: Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship created In Yeshua Messiah for good works, which God prepared **beforehand** that we should walk in them. - >2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER, and of LOVE, and of a SOUND MIND . -->Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than CONQUERORS through Him who loved us. You were not created to be in bondage to: fear, anxiety, depression, shame, etc. Galatians 5:1 STAND FAST therefore in the LIBERTY by which Messiah has made us free, and do not *be entangled again* with a yoke of bondage. God has provided the freedom, the forgiveness, the new life and new spirit to walk in the power of His love, peace, JOY, compassion, forgiveness, boldness etc (Gal 2:20) He says "do not be entangled again," meaning upon salvation He set you free.-> read:Ephesians 6:11-14 in those few sentences we see the direction STAND 3x 1) God has given us a spirit of POWER... 2) In Messiah you are a CONQUEROR 3) Stand in the LIBERTY by which Messiah made us free and do not be entangled again* He set you free 4)Put on the armor of God and STAND 5) Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you see James 3:7 Know who you are in Messiah and walk it out with boldness. Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Hello friends, and readers! There is no rhyme or reason that I tear some verses down to the bones like this...but it always blesses me when I am led to do so. Let's look at Prov 10:28-29 here...
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked perishes. The way of Adonai is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a ruin to those who do evil.- PROV 10:28-29 TLV STRONG'S CONCORDANCE: Stronghold: H4581 "maoz" from H5810 : A FORTIFIED PLACE, A DEFENCE {ROCK, FORTRESS, STRENGTH}
Wow. Things like that I just have to let simmer...think on these things.. soak it in.. have some quiet time in reflection. PAUSE. Let us be of those who sit at the Master's feet listening. Now while they were traveling, Yeshua entered a certain village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. She had a sister called Miriam, who was seated at the Master’s feet, listening to His teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving; so she approached Yeshua and said, “Master, doesn’t it concern you that my sister has left me to serve alone? Then tell her to help me!” But answering her, the Lord said, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and bothered about many things; but only one thing is necessary. For Miriam has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.” LK 10:38-42 TLV This will be posted before Shabbat starts---but SHABBAT SHALOM scattered family in Messiah! Sometimes our topics require quite a bit of expounding this one, not so much... The following scriptures explain how we are to handle these delicate situations. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about Torah, for they are unprofitable and useless. Dismiss a quarrelsome person after a first and second warning, knowing that such a person is twisted and is sinning—he is self- condemned. TITUS 3:9-11TLV Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught doing something wrong, you who are directed by the Ruach, restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness—looking closely at yourself so you are not tempted also. Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you fulfill the Torah of Messiah. Galatians 6:1-2 TLV proclaim the Word! Be ready when it is convenient or inconvenient. Confront, rebuke, encourage—with complete patience and instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2 TLV “Now if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault while you’re with him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother. But if he does not listen, take with you one or two more, so that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.’ But if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to Messiah’s community. And if he refuses to listen even to Messiah’s community, let him be to you as a pagan and a tax collector. Matthew 18:15-17 TLV
But we are not of those who fall back....we are of those who, "press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua." Phil 4:13 |
