There is a culture, an identity, handed down through scripture. If I am to claim a culture, and a history, it is going to be the history & culture of Adonai and His people. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. I Peter 2:9-10 TLV And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29 TLV And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. I John 2:17 TLV Also the foreigners who join themselves to Adonai, to minister to Him, and to love the Name of Adonai, and to be His servants-- all who keep from profaning Shabbat, and hold fast to My covenant-- these I will bring to My holy mountain, and let them rejoice in My House of Prayer.- Isa 56:6-7 TLV Gather the people—the men and women and little ones, and the outsider within your town gates—so they may hear and so they may learn, and they will fear Adonai your God and take care to do all the words of this Torah. So their children, who have not known, will hear and learn to fear Adonai your God— Deut 31:12-13 TLV What won't pass away is the Kingdom of Adonai and His righteousness....His people, His nation, His bride, His Kingdom will reign. I think often people read these verses and pass over them or do not really think on them. If you are a believer in Messiah and born again you no longer belong to this world. He gave us:
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony does Messiah have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement does God’s Temple have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God—just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing. Then I will take you in. I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.” 2 Cor 6: 14-18 TLV “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they put it on a lampstand so it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men so they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”- Matt 5: 14-16 TLV Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. "Make it your aim to cling to Messiah. Abide in Him. Go to Him as your source of strength and the One your thoughts need to obey. Read Adonai's Word. Listen to sermons. Worship Him. Set aside distractions and claim time for Him. Understand that if anything good comes into your life, he will be the conduit. The dominant duty of the disciple is to cling to Yeshua. And when you cling to Yeshua, you fill your mind with Adonai's truth. You disarm the enemy and keep anxiety at bay. You receive Adonai's truth. And that truth sets you free—free from fear, free from dread, and, yes, free from anxiety.-Max Lucado, Anxious for nothing 2017* Phil. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--think on these things.
Through Yeshua then, let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips giving thanks to His name. - Heb 13:15 TLV The -sacrifice of praise- Interesting words.... When you feel broken and decide to pray and worship re-focusing your attention on Adonai.... things shift. You may not "feel" immediate relief, we also should not be guided by what we "feel" either. We keep pressing into Him. Because He is everything. He is the solution to any tribulation we may face.... He is worthy ALL THE TIME. Let me share a snippet from a social media post of mine from 2017 which is where that picture above came from... "I've been through 'hell and back,' over the past 15+ years (a lot of that simply from holding on to past hurts, and more recently how life has unfolded) with the roughest yrs being 2015-2016 I've felt and been utterly abandoned and depressed, crushed even.. I've prayed: angry prayers, questioning prayers, gave God the silent treatment while I muddled in the muck of my situation and emotions. I've been angry, sad, depressed, filled with anxiety/fearful. Satan and whatever forces of darkness follow him have pressed on my buttons too many times to count...It has taken years of: recovery, emotional healing, hard work, prayer, therapy etc to rise from the pit of despair. I AM BACK! I am the woman of Adonai that was buried and is now risen to stand in the gap for: friends, family, enemies, unbelievers, a corrupt nation and government.... my posts have changed bc the of Spirit of Adoani that is raging within! My burdens, my tribulations are my own to bear they are not the worst case scenario that could have unfolded and there are those and always will be whose story is far more challenging than mine. That stands true in 99% of life situations though for anyone. In a fight of faith, a literal fight for life...when darkness presumed victory. The will and Word of Adonai inside me, said, "No, rest here...be still and wait...wait on the Lord" I did. I am walking in: forgiveness, healing, intercession, and with the love of my life, my husband, and the blessings Adonai has entrusted to us. I am a living testament to the Power of Adonai in the lives of the broken. For that I cannot help but: share, praise, pray and refuse to be silenced or bullied into submission by a culture that rages against Him. No. His love is too great. His presence too awesome, His healing and forgiveness too marvelous to stay quiet. PRAISE MY LORD AND MY GOD. I stand. I am a survivor. Not of my own strength or power but His; even in my stubborn insistence on doing life 'my way' God protected and shielded me from death. Every bomb the enemy dropped in effort to depress and destroy my: hope, joy, strength has been tackled and triumphed. Fireworks of joy and celebration are now the testimony of victory that Adonai has won for His own! That is the GOD I SERVE! My hope is in Him."- ME That was just to share a testimony..... I know from experience and science can tell/show us that: depression and anxiety have very negative effects on the: heart, blood pressure, body, sleep cycle, emotions, will, and in some cases even the desire to live.
As believers in Messiah we are here on ASSIGNMENT as AMBASSADORS of a kingdom and on behalf of the KING : We are therefore {ambassadors} for Messiah, as though God were making His appeal through us. We beg you on behalf of Messiah, be reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:20 TLV Is there a time for sadness and grief? Of course... A Time For Everything 3 For everything there is a season and a time for every activity under heaven: 2 a time to give birth and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted; 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance; 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to discard; 7 a time to tear apart and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak; 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.- ECC 3:1-9 TLV But we are not of those who fall back....we are of those who, "press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua." Phil 4:13 click link for music: Zach Williams - Survivor (Live from Harding Prison) - YouTube Hello again friends and readers! I hope your week has been going well. Did Yeshua Messiah (Jesus) teach the Torah? Remember when Yeshua walked the earth there was only 1 Testament and He taught from it both publicly and privately with His disciples. If you denounce and refuse Torah as the instructions of God you are refusing Yeshua who is the Word made flesh: And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 TLV Yes. “Why are you asking me about good? There is One who is good! But if you want to obtain eternal life, observe the mitzvot/commandments .” The man asked him, “Which ones?” and Yeshua said, “Don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t give false testimony honor father and mother and love your neighbor as yourself.”(Matt) 19:17-19 CJB Yeshua said to them, “Yes. I tell you that in the regenerated world, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Isra’el. Everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times more, and he will obtain eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. (Mat) 19:28-30 CJB “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. *Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.*Matthew 5:17-19
As you read you can see the battle Paul speaks of between the 'law of sin' this is our natural state of being, in sin, in lawlessness. You can see this working within him against the Law of God/Torah. In conclusion : Who will rescue me from this body bound for death? Thanks be to God [He will]! — through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! To sum up: with my mind, I am a slave of God’s Torah ; but with my old nature, I am a slave of sin’s “ Torah .”(Rom) 7:24-25 CJB------ Through Yeshua we are rescued from the curse/condemnation of the Torah/ law "The Messiah redeemed us FROM THE CURSE pronounced in the Torah by becoming cursed on our behalf... ” (Gal) 3:13 CJB And in our new nature “ ‘This is the covenant which I will make with them after those days,’ says Adonai : ‘I will put my Torah on their hearts, and write it on their minds . . . ” (Heb) 10:16 CJB One of the major problems with the Pharisees’ traditions was that they often led to the abuse and mistreatment of other people. For example, in Matthew 23 Yeshua strongly rebuked them for putting unnecessary burdens on people (verse 4), abusing widows (verse 14), neglecting justice and mercy (verse 23) and even being complicit in the murder of righteous men (verse 34-35). In another place, He scolded them for inventing a loophole that allowed them to avoid caring for their elderly parents (Mark 7:11-13). The main flaw was neglecting to show love to their fellow man.} “You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Do not murder,’ and that anyone who commits murder will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who nurses anger against his brother will be subject to judgment; that whoever calls his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing!’ will be brought before the Sanhedrin ; that whoever says, ‘Fool!’ incurs the penalty of burning in the fire of Gei-Hinnom (hell) ! So if you are offering your gift at the Temple altar and you remember there that your brother has something against you, leave your gift where it is by the altar, and go, make peace with your brother. Then come back and offer your gift. If someone sues you, come to terms with him quickly, while you and he are on the way to court; or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer of the court, and you may be thrown in jail! Yes indeed! I tell you, you will certainly not get out until you have paid the last penny. “You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that a man who even looks at a woman with the purpose of lusting after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Mat) 5:21-28 CJB He showed the expectation makes it a heart matter. For God knows the intentions of the heart. If you lust after a woman you have already committed adultery in your heart (and broken the law/sinned) where we fail to fulfill the law by sin (lawlessness) ->Yeshua stood in our place. We are not under the law.." What does that mean?
Rom 3:31 Do we then nullify the Torah through faithfulness? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah. . Romans 8: 5-7 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Ruach set their minds on the things of the Ruach. For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Ruach is life and shalom. For the mindset of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it does not submit itself to the law of God—for it cannot. Speaking of new covenant- Ezekiel 36:26-37 TLV God in His great mercy and compassion gave says: Ezekiel 36:26-27 Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach (Spirit) within you. >>>>then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will KEEP My rulings and DO them. <<<<<
Matt 7:21-23 TLV “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”
2Pet 3:16-18 as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless, 18 but grow in the favour and knowledge of our Master and Saviour Yeshua Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Amĕn. Romans 7:12-14 So that the Torah truly is set-apart, and the command set-apart, and righteous, and good. Therefore, has that which is good become death to me? Let it not be! But the sin, that sin might be manifest, was working death in me through what is good, so that sin through the command might become an exceedingly great sinner. >>> For we know that the Torah is Spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.<<< We are to teach the Word and Commandments to our children diligently... These words, which I am commanding you today, are to be on your heart. 7 You are to teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. Deut. 6:4-7
> when you walk by the way > when you lie down and when you rise up. What a privelage!
Shama/ Shema or {HEAR} in english does not simply mean to listen as we can see it is to be: obedient, careful, "cause to" obey, to be diligent etc the image to the left there is from Strong's Concordance. This is to allow the words to sink in, provide understanding, and generate a response. In other words, in Hebrew, “hearing” and “doing” are basically the same thing, What is the 1st instruction given after the announcement and proclamation the "Lord our God is One" VS 5-> Love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. *If you love Me, you will keep My commandments- Yeshua (JN 14:15) TLV
HalleluYah! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 Hello friends and readers. I'm going to write another post on this topic because it is real life. It effects a lot of people, many of whom think this is just how life is.... or they have no one to talk to.....or maybe they don't even understand how very important the topic is to Yah/God and how we can be directly in disobedience by allowing fear/anxiety to tackle us down and rule our thoughts.
Hello friends and readers, This can be a sensitive subject and often is because we form emotional attachments to nostalgic memories. But I urge you with sincerity, reader, to control your emotions and read what the facts are and what the Word says. Let's self reflect as well. 1) are you defensive for YHWH and His ways? 2) are you defensive for you, your family traditions, and your ways? If we are being honest ....zeal for YHWH and His ways will not be found in defending : Christmas, Easter or Sunday worship because He didn't command any of them. Which leaves us with being defensive for: self, family traditions, your ways etc. I understand that feeling because I had to "come out" of those traditions as well. But of utmost importance to me was being honest about what Adonai has commanded of us and what has happened down through history to how we got to this point. When worshipping YHWH we do it His way otherwise it is not for HIM, but you, and that is idolatry. History time! The introduction of Sunday church, Christmas and Easter traditions are just that. Traditions. Not found in the Bible, not commanded by God and brought about by Constantine and the Catholic church. Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc.- states: Christmas, the holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, is celebrated by a majority of Christians on December 25 in the Gregorian calendar. *But early Christians did not celebrate his birth* and no one knows on which date Jesus was actually born. The origins of the holiday and its December date lie in the ancient Greco-Roman world, as commemorations probably began sometime in the 2nd century. There are at least three possible origins for the December date. The Roman Christian historian Sextus Julius Africanus dated Jesus’ conception to March 25 (the same date upon which he held that the world was created), which, after nine months in his mother’s womb, would result in a December 25 birth. In the 3rd century, the Roman Empire, which at the time had not adopted Christianity, celebrated the rebirth of the Unconquered Sun (Sol Invictus) on December 25th. This holiday not only marked the return of longer days after the winter solstice but also followed the popular Roman festival called the Saturnalia (during which people feasted and exchanged gifts). It was also the birthday of the Indo-European deity Mithra, a god of light and loyalty whose cult was at the time growing popular among Roman soldiers. The church in Rome began formally celebrating Christmas on December 25 in 336, during the reign of the emperor Constantine. As Constantine had made Christianity the effective religion of the empire, some have speculated that choosing this date had the political motive of weakening the established pagan celebrations. The date was not widely accepted in the Eastern Empire, where January 6 had been favored, for another half-century, and Christmas did not become a major Christian festival until the 9th century. It was Emperor Constantine who decreed that Christians should no longer keep the Sabbath and keep only to Sunday (the latter part of the first day of the week) calling it the "Venerable Day of the Sun". (Idolatry worship)-source Britannica Encyclopedia When Constantine pressed his pagan hordes into the church they were observing the day of the sun for their adoration of the sun god. It was their special holy day. In order to make it more convenient for them to make the change to the new religion, Constantine accepted their day of worship, Sunday, instead of the Shabbat /swhich had been observed by Yeshua/ Jesus and His disciples. So there is a real and present danger in keeping these "traditions of man." But there is no danger in observing the appointed times of Adonai that we are commanded to keep as a statute throughout all generations. Hear the word that Adonai speaks to you, house of Israel, 2 Thus says Adonai: “Do not learn the way of the nations or be frightened by signs of the heavens-- though the nations are terrified by them. 3 The customs of the peoples are useless: it is just a tree cut from the forest, the work of the hands of a craftsman with a chisel. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold, and fasten it with hammer and nails so it won’t totter.--- Jer 10:1:4 TLV Nothing new under the sun What has been is what will be, and what has been done will be done again. There is nothing new under the sun.- Eccl 1:9 TLV So Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden rings that are in the ears of your wives, your sons and your daughters, and bring them to me.” So all the people broke off the golden rings that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. He received them from their hand, and made a molten calf, fashioned with a chiseling tool. Then they said, “This is your god, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” When Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. Then Aaron made a proclamation saying, “Tomorrow will be a feast to Adonai.” They rose up early the next morning, sacrificed burnt offerings and brought fellowship offerings. The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to make merry. EX 32: 2-6
Let's see this command again: Hear the word that Adonai speaks to you, house of Israel, 2 Thus says Adonai: “Do not learn the way of the nations or be frightened by signs of the heavens-- though the nations are terrified by them. 3 The customs of the peoples are useless: it is just a tree cut from the forest, the work of the hands of a craftsman with a chisel. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold, and fasten it with hammer and nails so it won’t totter.--- Jer 10:1:4 TLV How creepy/strange is the idol worship that has crept into our modern churches? Literally singing about, "how lovely are thy branches...." mixing idolatry with YHWH is nothing new.... it happens today and it happened thousands of years ago. Because people tend to gravitate to what is easy, what everyone else is doing.... so on and on... >>O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree How lovely are thy branches! O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree How lovely are thy branches! Your boughs so green in summertime, Stay bravely green in wintertime. O tannenbaum, O Christmas Tree How lovely are thy branches!<< Let us remember to be the remnant and RISE UP : Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony does Messiah have with Belial[d]? Or what part does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement does God’s Temple have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God—just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says Adonai. Touch no unclean thing. Then I will take you in. I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says Adonai-Tzva’ot.”- 2 Cor 6:14-18 TLV Let us not concede or bow to man -made traditions any longer from Constantine, or the Catholic "church" but observe the very Word of YHWH and footsteps of Messiah to the best of our ability and knowledge. What He commanded and what Yeshua/Jesus kept and observed on the earth. He kept the Feasts and Shabbat as Holy and blameless. Phil 4:13 So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead by itself. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works. James 2:17-18TLV You see that a man is proved righteous by works and not by faith alone. James 2:24 TLV For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. James 2:26 TLV The Merry-go-round that never stops in the larger "Christian" discussion ring "Faith and Works"! So above there we have several scriptures from James but let's see what Yeshua says on the topic in Matthew: Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the rotten tree produces bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will recognize them by their fruit. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, >>but he who does the will of My Father <<in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”- Matt. 7: 17-23 TLV Wow! So much depth in only a few paragraphs! Let's dig in y'all!
He said what He said. *mic drop* And in life this is just an obvious practical observation. We make such observations daily in recognition of the character of others. You see either "good fruit" or "bad fruit." The problem lies in the fact that people by and large do not see "themselves" as the problem. It is everyone else who should be judged. When you realize that He died and made the sacrifice for YOU because of YOUR LAWLESSNESS (sin). Then you begin to understand and have a new appreciation for the justice of Yah. As always let's recap what is "lawlessness" ie (sin)? Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. 1 JN 3:4 Quite simply: put your faith in action -> where your mouth is. If you have faith there will be "fruit" or proof to substantiate that faith. You will produce either good fruit of faith=OBEDIENCE or bad fruit of LAWLESSNESS. Those are the only 2 options. Yeshua Messiah said so. Thus those who desire to pick a fight can take it up with Him. On that day after Yeshua left the house, He was sitting by the sea. And large crowds gathered around Him; so He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood on the shore. And He told them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a sower went out to spread some seed. As he was scattering the seed, some seeds fell by the road; and the birds came and ate them up. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil. They sprang up immediately, because the soil wasn’t deep. But when the sun came up, they were scorched; and because they had no roots, they withered away. Other seeds fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew and choked them out. But others fell on good soil and were producing fruit. They yielded a crop—some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.” Matt 13: 1-9 TLV If you love Me, you will keep My commandments- Yeshua (JN 14:15) TLV
He says, IF you love Me YOU WILL KEEP My commandments. LOVE=OBEDIENCE. Yah also knows the motives of the heart so producing the fruit in of itself doesn't earn brownie points. IF the motive of the heart is for selfish ambitions than those "works" are useless other than whatever earthly value they hold. And whenever you fast, do not become sad-faced like the hypocrites, for they neglect their faces to make their fasting evident to men. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full! But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that your fasting won’t be evident to men, but to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matt 6: 16-21 TLV Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the Good News which I proclaimed to you. You also received it, and you took your stand on it, and by it you are being saved if you hold firm to the word I proclaimed to you—unless you believed without proper consideration. For I also passed on to you first of all what I also received-- that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Kefa, then to the Twelve. 6 Then He appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time-- most of them are still alive, though some have died. 7 Then He appeared to Jacob, then to all the emissaries, 8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He also appeared to me. 1 Cor 15: 1-8 TLV Now for this very reason, making every effort, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, patience; and to patience, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly love; and to brotherly love, love. 8 For if these qualities are in you and increasing, they keep you from becoming idle and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 9 But anyone who lacks these qualities is blind—nearsighted because he has forgotten his cleansing from past sins. 10 Therefore, brothers and sisters, make all the more effort to make your calling and election certain—for if you keep doing these things, you will never stumble. 11 For in this way entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Messiah Yeshua, will be richly provided for you. 2 Pet 1: 5-10 TLV How do we do this? Yeshua taught as the living Word/Torah that the action of obedience to GOD is equivalent to LOVE. Because we do sin and transgress the Torah/law God again made provision to help us in our weaknesses: "Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah." 1 JN 3:4 God in His great mercy and compassion gave says: Ezekiel 36:26-27 Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach (Spirit) within you. >>>>then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will KEEP My rulings and DO them. <<<<<
YHWH! {HalleluYah!!} Some may produce more than others, "a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty..." Bottom line is you will produce fruit from your faith.
No. It never says anywhere in there that they save you. But it DOES say numerous ways that if you have faith you will produce fruit/evidence of that faith in action and you are 'proved righteous by works and not by faith alone'-James 2:24 TLV: walk in His rulings, keep His Laws and DO THEM-Ezekiel 36:26. Straight quotation from scripture. “Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one Love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These words, which I am commanding you today, are to be on your heart. You are to teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up." Deut 6:4-7 TLV AMEN! Each of the points listed above is a focus for the night mentioned (ie: 1, 2, 3 etc) Our Hanukkah devotional time centers around building up our character into the likeness of Messiah (represented by the Shamash, Servant candle) Being ever present, passing on the "light" or good news of the Gospel with: prayer, love, humility, faith, a message of repentance, and of a giving nature not expecting notice or reward.
I hope that the Feast of Dedication/Hanukkah was a blessing to your family as it most certainly was to ours! Blessings and Shalom as you continue to "pursue the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua"-Phil 4:13 |
