Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well. Well let's dive in: First: let’s establish that His Law (Torah) is eternal: Truth is the essence of Your word, and all Your righteous rulings are eternal. PS 119:160 So then, the Torah is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. Rom 7:12 Secondly: Establish the definition of Sin/Lawlessness: Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. 1 JN 3:4 Third: Words of Messiah: Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened. So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.- MT 5:17-20
So what is:--until all is accomplished or completed---? Answer: not until heaven and earth pass away- Messiah Yeshua Furthermore: vs 19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot /commandments and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. This statement should send us into prayer and reevaluation of what the romanized/western church is teaching. The Messiah said this Himself I and the Father are one. JN 10:30 Now a certain Torah lawyer stood up to entrap Yeshua, saying, “Teacher, what should I do to gain eternal life?” Then Yeshua said to him, “What has been written in the Torah? How do you read it?” And he replied, “You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” Yeshua said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.” Luke 10:25-28 TLV
The Scriptures show that Paul, an apostle personally trained by Yeshua, was still Torah observant some 25 years after his conversion, would that cause you to rethink the traditions of church fathers (men who did not write Scripture) who say the opposite? Yeshua plainly said He did not come to “destroy” the law. The Greek word translated destroy (Greek, katalyo) can also be translated “dissolve,” “demolish,” “abrogate” or “deprive of force.” Instead of abolishing the law, He came to fulfill (pleroo) it—which means to “make full,” “fill up” or “accomplish He fulfilled/accomplished the law in that He never broke it. He is SINLESS, (sin=lawlessness) thus taking the curse of the Torah/law that we, who believe, would not be under the curse any longer. - - -Rom7: 22 For in my inner self I COMPLETELY agree with God's Torah/law (and as you read you can see the battle Paul speaks of between the 'law of sin' this is our natural state of being, in sin, in lawlessness. You can see this working within him against the Law of God/Torah.) In conclusion : Who will rescue me from this body bound for death? Thanks be to God [He will]! — through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! To sum up: with my mind, I am a slave of God’s Torah ; but with my old nature, I am a slave of sin’s “ Torah .” Romans (Rom) 7:24-25 ------ Through Yeshua we are rescued from the curse/condemnation of the Torah/ law "The Messiah redeemed us FROM THE CURSE pronounced in the Torah by becoming cursed on our behalf... ”Galatians (Gal) 3:13 "I will put my Torah in their minds, and write it on their hearts." - Hebrews 8:10
Through belief in Yeshua, the Indwelling Set-apart Spirit gives the believer the "want to" and the "power to" be obedient. This is the "Good News" we are commanded to tell all people. (Eze. 36:25-27, Jer. 31:31-34, Rom. 7:18-8:4, Mark 16:15-16) But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord! For never have I eaten anything unholy or unclean. Acts 10: 14
This agrees with: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. In unrighteousness they suppress the truth, because what can be known about God is plain to them—for God has shown it to them. His invisible attributes—His eternal power and His divine nature—have been clearly seen ever since the creation of the world, being understood through the things that have been made. So people are without excuse— for even though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. Instead, their thinking became futile, and their senseless hearts were made dark. Claiming to be wise, they became fools. They exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image in the form of mortal man and birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things. Rom 1: 18-23 Prayerfully this reaches you. Prayerfully it spurns you to seek Abba YHWH more and push aside the traditions and false teachings that have infiltrated the ekklesia via the Roman deception.... Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well. "God never gives you more than you can handle"....is a popular quote.... To the contrary, He does allow it. It is not more than you can handle WITH HIM....but on your own....yes your strength will fail. He allows it “to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9). If you’re facing some overwhelming adversary or adversity and you wonder how YHWH could possibly deliver and work it for your good (Romans 8:28), then take heart. As the psalmist says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling” (Ps. 46:1–3). When our strength is failing under crushing burdens, the answer is not within. God gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak (Isa. 40:29). The power comes from Him to those who wait on Him. “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison” (2 Cor. 4:17). You might not consider overwhelming sufferings to be “light” and “momentary,” but think of your trials in terms of eternity . In the middle of affliction, sometimes the most difficult thing to hold onto is an eternal vision. Paul isn’t trying to minimize your affliction; he’s trying to * maximize your perspective.* Suffering doesn’t get the last line in the script. In this life, YHWH will allow more than you can handle, but the coming weight of glory will be greater than you can imagine. He cannot be our deliverer if we have nothing to be delivered from.... He cannot be our Redeemer with nothing to Redeem us from....He cannot be our Strength if we can do it all on our own....He cannot be our shalom if we are never troubled in this life..... John 16:33 "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world." Sometimes you just need a refresher/reminder of something you already knew- I hope if you take the time to read this & it is a blessing to you- Have an awesome day! Breaking bondage is never free. Freedom always costs something. Rom 6:6 “…..knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” 1 Cor 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Our freedom was purchased with the blood of Messiah. We are a blood-bought people, therefore believers, physically and spiritually belong to YHWH. He went so far as to place a seal upon us who believe: “After you heard the message of truth—the Good News of your salvation—and when you put your trust in Him, you were sealed with the promised Ruach ha-Kodesh. He is the guarantee of our inheritance, until the redemption of His possession—to His glorious praise! Ephes 1:13-14 There we see that “purchased & bought” concept again. We are not our own- we belong to YHWH. Our relationship with Him is one of many complexities-- it is multi-faceted. It is akin to seeing the top of an iceberg in the middle of a vast ocean but knowing that 85% remains out of sight. Each little glimpse spins my mind in circles- how amazingly deep is the depth of our All-powerful God, the depth of His love, the pursuit of His people, the privilege to be recognized as belonging to Him. Out of the many ways that we can understand YHWH as a: Father, King, Creator, Husband-- as we are the bride of Messiah,--- He is Omnipotent, YHWH-Yireh (our provider) our Rabbi or Teacher---He is in fact our Master and we are His people bought & purchased in His own blood. We are expectant of YHWH to keep up His end of the Covenant ie: forgiving us, loving us, always being there…..saving us from dire circumstances, and even performing miracles. Yet, we as a people are slack on keeping up with OUR end of the Covenant of accepting Messiah’s offer to complete liberation from our bondage to be a slave of righteousness to Him as our King-Adonai and Master. We seek out ways to excuse those things which we deem too demanding upon us, and our limited time. Wherefore YHWH commands in return: Yeshua replied: And He said to him, “‘You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire Torah and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. MT 22:37-40 I urge you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice—holy, acceptable to God—which is your spiritual service. Rom 12:1 There is this one thing that brings YHWH immense pleasure. Obedience- Messiah Himself says: “If you love Me keep My commandments.” JN 14:15 God is Merciful –All Powerful, Beginning and End of all. He is the Father who has adopted believers as children and heirs granting us astounding privileges in the here and now with greater things to follow. He is YHWH who sets the captives free from oppression whether of people or sin- Even though we have nothing of value to offer Him- He is pleased with a humble and contrite spirit before Him. For thus says the High and Exalted One who inhabits eternity, whose Name is Holy: “I dwell in a high and holy place, yet also with a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and revive the heart of the contrite.- ISA 57:15 This act of being “a slave of righteousness, and of YHWH” is not like the slavery that one would force upon a human being. Such as we view slavery normally. This is a willing servitude to YHWH out of heartfelt understanding and thankfulness for all that YHWH has done for us as a people. It is not forced upon us- just as the Hebrews in Exodus chose to follow Moses out of Egypt though some would rather have stayed- leaving left them with more questions than answers…left them with an unknowable future…. So also we must choose to accept Messiah’s invitation and choose to desire to leave our bondages in sin to become a servant to YHWH. Even this opportunity is only by His mercy and grace extended. Our service to Him is what is reasonably expected of us: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Rom 8:28 For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares Adonai, “plans for shalom and not calamity—to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11 The modern western, "roman-rooted" church has done all it can to teach people the opposite. That the Torah/law is bondage. When scripture teaches the truth: Torah is the way Ps. 119:1 Torah is truth Ps 119:142 Torah is life. Deut 32:46-47 Messiah is the way, the truth, and the life JN 14:6 Messiah = Torah in the flesh JN 1:14 I certainly will never comprehend the full depth of this intimate, amazing relationship between Creator-YHWH and human beings—but I thank Abba for the tiny glimpses and revelations He grants me to deepen my understanding and challenge my walk. Be blessed friends! Until next time: May Adonai bless and keep you as you: press on pursuing the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua. Phil 4:13 for additional reading:

There is so much to be learned while walking back to THE WAY and out of "Roman- rooted" teachings, customs, and "holidays." You really do have to just take it step by step, and bite by bite. Although when I did come to understand this among many other things it does change everything. Most western, roman-rooted churches will teach that Yeshua was just giving her a FREE pass of forgiveness. Most people are more than willing to accept that with little question because well, everyone, would like that "free pass" for some sin/lawlessness of their own. The western church teaches the Torah is no longer necessary but all of scripture disagrees with that sentiment. Including the living example of Yeshua Messiah. So let's look and examine as, "Bereans." (Acts 17:11) But Yeshua went to the Mount of Olives. At dawn, He came again into the Temple. All the people were coming to Him, and He sat down and began to teach them. The Torah scholars and Pharisees bring in a woman who had been caught in adultery. After putting her in the middle, they say to Yeshua, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of committing adultery. In the Torah, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do You say?” Now they were saying this to trap Him, so that they would have grounds to accuse Him. But Yeshua knelt down and started writing in the dirt with His finger. When they kept asking Him, He stood up and said, “The sinless one among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Then He knelt down again and continued writing on the ground. Now when they heard, they began to leave, one by one, the oldest ones first, until Yeshua was left alone with the woman in the middle. Straightening up, Yeshua said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” “No one, Sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Yeshua said. “Go, and sin no more.” JN 8:1-11 TLV * Side note: Go, and sin no more. The expectation to repent and TURN AWAY from lawlessness is all through scripture. The Pharisees and Torah scholars wanted Yeshua to disagree with the Torah. They were not coming to Him for advice. They were experts in Torah and they had the authority to carry it out. What does the Torah say about such a situation?
The hand of the witnesses is to be first to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you are to purge the evil from your midst. Deut 17: 7 TLV None present out of the Torah Scholars or Pharisees, knowing the Torah, were willing to cast that 1st stone. They weren't willing to have her blood on their hands. Is it because they knew it was a TRAP? Is it because they knew they did not have the legal ground to stone her per the Torah? The man was not present, and it's not clear if there were first-hand witnesses present. This would make it against Torah to stone her, even if she had been caught in adultery. Conclusion: Yeshua followed Torah by not stoning her. His death on the cross doesn't mean that we are "free" from the Torah and able to live as we please, under "grace alone." It means that forgiveness and redemption are possible when we repent of our lawlessness/sin. It means He was/is the final sacrifice once and for all. Indeed, every kohen stands day by day serving and offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. But on the other hand, when this One offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God— waiting from then on, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. For by one offering He has perfected forever those being made holy. The Ruach ha-Kodesh also testifies to us—for after saying, >> “This is the covenant that I will cut with them: ‘After those days,’ says Adonai, ‘I will put My Torah upon their hearts, and upon their minds I will write it,’”<< Heb 10:11-16 TLV
"Go and sin no more," doesn't mean what she did was permissible. The Messiah calling it sin tells us it was definitely sin. By telling her not to sin, he was telling her not to break Torah, thereby UPHOLDING TORAH. Even as this woman receives mercy and redemption, the Savior calls her to uphold the commandments of Scripture. Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5: 17-19 TLV We know that we love God’s children by this—when we love God and OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS. For this is the LOVE of God—that we KEEP His COMMANDMENTS. And His COMMANDMENTS are NOT burdensome. 1 John 5:2-3 TLV What was done away with?
TO DO WHAT? I will put My Ruach within you. Then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will keep My rulings and do them. - Ezek 36:26 TLV If you love Me, you will keep My commandments - JN 14:15 * all scripture references are from the TLV * For our Statement of Faith: Statement of Faith - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 WOW, friends!
