Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well.
This was just a fun little craft for Tabernacles/Sukkot. (not a school craft, a family activity) The children had fun creating their little "tabernacles" and helping to decorate our family/church one as well. "Leviticus 23 is about the Feast of Tabernacles.--a tabernacle is a temporary place to live. it is like a tent except it is made from wood or branches. ---the first and eighth day of this feast is a Sabbath" "Jesus (Yeshua) was born during this feast week. Jesus (Yeshua) celebrated the Feast of tabernacles, and Zechariah 14:16 says that someday, all nations will celebrate the feast!" Anyone new to the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as Sukkot. Here is a simple explanation of it; It's a rehearsal for a future event where Yeshua will Tabernacle with us again, which simply means be with us.
The tent idea is a reminder we are in temporary dwelling places until we get to be with Yah permanently in the New Jerusalem, that will come down to earth. It also symbolizes the time when the Israelites were able to escape their slavery from the Egyptians and had to live in tents for 40 years. Its also a metaphor of how we escape and come out of the things of this World! Coming out of the traditions and the ways of man and religion. We hence Cross Over or Pass Over from the things of this World into the things and Ways of YHWH! This is where the word Hebrew comes from, one who has passed or crossed over! A quick google search can give you all kinds of ideas for how to decorate your own Sukkah or purchase one for future celebration. The intent and motives of the heart are known by Yah and may He be with you. HalleluYah!! Do Bible things in Bible ways.... YHWH's ways. Follow the footsteps of the Master and KING. RELATED READING:

Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well.
Well, Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement is nearly upon us! Sunday sunset to Monday sunset. For Shabbat School our lesson for the kids was from Trained up in Torah (HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ht_Qu7WcBx0&t=2941s) and the pages above are from Bible Pathway Adventures Fall Feast Activity book. The two combined made a fun and educational lesson for the kids! Yom Kippur is also known as the Day of Atonement, it is the holiest day of the year. Its central themes are atonement and repentance. It's traditionally observed with a period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in services. {*the 10 days between The Feast of Trumpets and Atonement are often referred to as "the days of awe" for this internal inspection/repentance period} Yom Kippur is the memorial of the cost of humanity’s redemption. Yeshua, as our High Priest, secures our atonement through His death, resurrection, and ascension, giving us the opportunity to repent "teshuvah" for forgiveness, relationship, and obedience to be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. He lives and intercedes for us forever! This is acknowledged as a day of intercession, repentance/fasting. (LEV 16:29-34) This shall be an everlasting statute.... our Atonement was made in Yeshua Messiah, Amen! We can be filled with joy and reflection of who we are in Messiah. And the remnant both ethnic and grafted in believers of Israel still to be saved. Therefore, since we have a great Kohen Gadol (High Priest) who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua Ben-Elohim, let us hold firmly to our confessed allegiance. For we do not have a kohen gadol (High Priest) who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all the same ways—yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near to the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 Psalm 110:4 proclaims that the Messiah would be a priest according to the order of Melchizedek. The book of Hebrews compares Yeshua to Melchizedek who had “no beginning of days nor end of life, but, made like Ben-Elohim [the Son of God], He remains a kohen [priest] for all time” (Hebrews 7:3). Because Yeshua lives eternally, His priesthood never ends; He is a priest forever. (See Genesis 14:18–20, Hebrews 7.) The priest was a mediator, one who goes before YHWH representing the people. For there is one God and there is one Mediator between God and men—a human, Messiah Yeshua, who gave Himself as a ransom for al—the testimony at the proper time. 1 Tim 2:5 On the Day of Atonement, the High Priest brought the blood of bulls and goats into the Temple, sprinkling it on the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies to cover Israel’s sin. Yeshua brought His own blood. Through His sacrifice, offering Himself without blemish, He obtained eternal redemption for us. He did this once and for all. (See Hebrews 7:27, 9:12–13, 26-28, 10:2, 10. He understands our weaknesses and offers His compassion. Those who have placed their trust in Him may approach His holiness and receive grace and mercy in times of need. (See Hebrews 4:15–16 and 7:26–28.) When He entered into the heavenly Holy of Holies with His own blood, Yeshua brought about the new covenant prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31–33. He enabled Yah's Law to be placed in our hearts and His Holy Spirit to dwell inside us. YHWH dwells in those who have placed their faith in Yeshua. Obedience to Torah (ie: His Law) is the sanctification/fruit of our salvation as we become more and more like Yeshua through continuance of guarding and living the Torah. We can enter His presence boldly without fear of condemnation. (See Hebrews 8:7–12, Ephesians 1:13, 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, Hebrews 4:16, Romans 8:1, 15.) Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach within you. Then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will keep My rulings and do them. Ezek 36:26-27 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God is truly made perfect. We know that we are in Him by this— whoever claims to abide in Him must walk just as He walked. 1 JN 2: 4-6 May your observance be blessed in reflection and repentance. Stop in for a visit, invite a friend. Hope to see you all there! Hello scattered friends and familiy in Messiah! I'm just going to say again, OH, how we LOVE this curriculum! Masterbooks is non-denominational curriculum. But they cover: Shabbat, all of the Feasts, and here is another little gem that is often misunderstood and mis-explained to the masses. The images above are from the 101 Favorite Bible Stories book that goes with the Language curriculum from 3rd-5th grade. Reading from this book is every Thursday. Many adults that have been in church for years have not understood or properly been taught the truth from the Bible. They have been taught a westernized/roman centric, denomination preferred version of something that is NOT Bible. Now while Peter was mulling over the vision, the Ruach said to him, “Look here, three men are looking for you. But get up, go downstairs, and go with them without hesitating, because I Myself have sent them.- Acts 10:19-20 TLV He said to them, “You yourselves know that it is not permitted for a Jewish man to associate with a non-Jew or to visit him. Yet God has shown me that I should call no one unholy or unclean. So I came without objection when I was sent for. I ask, then, what is the reason why you sent for me? Acts 10:28-29 TLV Often times, actually, in 90+ % of western churches, this vision is taught to mean that all animals are acceptable to YHWH to be eaten when tha,t in fact, IS NOT what the vision is about at all. The vision as Peter explains is: "Yet God has shown me that I should call no one unholy or unclean" YHWH used the example of clean and unclean animals, something that, being Torah adherent Peter would understand to show him that some of the oral traditions that Jews followed such as they should not eat with or visit with non-Jews is a "man made tradition/teaching," it is not of YHWH/Torah. Then Peter opened his mouth and said, “I truly understand that God is not one to show favoritism, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him. You know the message He sent to Bnei-Yisrael, proclaiming shalom through Messiah Yeshua— Acts 10:34-36 TLV The Pharisees and Torah scholars questioned Yeshua, “Why don’t Your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders? Why do they eat bread with unwashed hands?” And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors Me with their lips but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ Mark 7: 5-7 TLV When He had left the crowd and entered the house, His disciples questioned Him about the parable. And He said to them, “Are you then also lacking understanding? Don’t you grasp that whatever goes into the man cannot make him unholy? For it does not enter into the heart but into the stomach, and then goes out into the sewer, cleansing all foods.” And He continued, “It is what comes out of the man that makes the man unholy. For from within, out of the heart of men, come evil intentions, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustfulness, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and make the man unholy Mark 7:17-23 TLV They said, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not do the ritual handwashing when they eat bread." Matt 15:2 TLV Are you also still lacking understanding?” Yeshua said. “Don’t you grasp that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and then is ejected into the sewer? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and those things make the man unholy. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, and slander. These are the things that make the man unholy; but to eat with unwashed hands does not make the man unholy.”Matt 15:17-20 TLV Popular theology goes like this: Yeshua is teaching contrary to YHWH's instructions in Torah. "The Word made flesh," is saying and teaching the opposite of the Word and they are free to eat whatever they want. **hmmm....sounds questionable and poses a serious problem because, what is sin? answer: Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. 1 JN 3:4 ** ----> Would the "Word made flesh," (ie: Yeshua) who came not to do His own will but the will of Him who sent Him.... sin and teach others to sin by violating Torah? Ouch, church! That is not sound doctrine/teaching. That is the church following Roman-rooted traditions from the Catholic church who became Anti-Semitic and started veering away from the Truth and leading millions with them. Yeshua telling people that they can now eat any animal means He is telling them to disobey/be lawless to the Father who He embodies in the flesh! Scripture says in Lev 11 and reiterates in Deut. 14 that the flesh of certain animals is NOT FOOD. Rabbi's argued over when prayer should be said during the washing of hands and the instructions about the water and the basin used to wash..... This is not Torah. This fluff "added" to the burden of Yah's people and still does today for both Jews and Christians that are not theologically sound. For this is the love of God—that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 JN 5:3 TLV And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men Matt. 15:9 TLV The context of all of this and the implications according to Messiah is that the Pharisees are "making the Word of God of no effect through there traditions." The idea that Yeshua would abolish Leviticus 11 goes in direct opposition to His own Words: Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Matt 5: 17 TLV Yeshua plainly said He did not come to “destroy” the law. The Greek word translated destroy (Greek, katalyo) can also be translated “dissolve,” “demolish,” “abrogate” or “deprive of force.”} Instead of abolishing the law, He came to fulfill (pleroo) it—which means to “make full,” “fill up” or “accomplish)
Genesis-Duet. When Yeshua quoted scripture to teach He taught from the Torah. The church in the book of Acts didn't have a written (2nd [New] Testament) yet. They continued in Torah. Yeshua is the High Priest of Torah, "And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 TLV AMEN! We are not under the law.." What does that mean? It means we do not stand condemned by the Torah/Law because Yeshua paid the sacrifice since ALL have fallen short and been lawless/sinful. (see Rom 3:23) What is sin? Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah .⁹ (1 JN) 3:4 CJB or in NKJV "Whoever commits sin, commits lawlessness for sin is lawlessness" What is the law? Torah.
Bottom line: Yeshua says, "If you love Me, obey Me" the expectation of obedience is there. When we fail and commit lawlessness the fulfillment of the law in Yeshua redeems His own from the curse. If we repent upon recognition of sin, are born again, and belong to Him. Western churches by and large teach "another gospel" they do not teach what Yeshua taught. "But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should announce any "good news" to you other than what we have proclaimed to you, let that person be cursed!- Gal 1: 8TLV Be of a "Berean mindset," - "searching the Scriptures each day to see whether these things were true." Acts 17: 11 TLV In conclusion : Who will rescue me from this body bound for death? Thanks be to God [He will]! — through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! To sum up: with my mind, I am a slave of God’s Torah ; but with my old nature, I am a slave of sin’s “ Torah .” Romans 7:24-25
(Gal) 3:13 And in our new nature “ ‘This is the covenant which I will make with them after those days,’ says Adonai : ‘I will put my Torah on their hearts, and write it on their minds . . . ” (Heb) 10:16 One of the major problems with the Pharisees’ traditions was that they often led to the abuse and mistreatment of other people. For example, in Matthew 23 Yeshua strongly rebuked them for putting unnecessary burdens on people (verse 4), abusing widows (verse 14), neglecting justice and mercy (verse 23) and even being complicit in the murder of righteous men (verse 34-35). In another place, He scolded them for inventing a loophole that allowed them to avoid caring for their elderly parents (Mark 7:11-13). The main flaw was neglecting to show love to their fellow man.
