Curriculum: Masterbooks, Language Lessons For A Living Education Level 4 3 WEEKS LEFT OF SCHOOL!! We are Shabbat and Feast keeping, following Yeshua Messiah, and exalting His preeminence! We strive to live and honor Him in keeping the commandments as best as we can. for He said: If you love Me, you will keep My commandments- JN 14:15TLV and "For this is the love of God--that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome." 1 JN 5:3 TLV That desire flows through every area of life including how we educate our children. We absolutely love that Masterbooks gives us the flexibility to tailor their education to: honor, respect, and obey His commands and Feasts. * Masterbooks is a Christian company, not specifically Torah Observant. So I want to be transparent about that. But the Torah is well, BIBLICAL. SO.... The mention of roman/idolatrous customs ie: easter and christmas we do remove from any lessons for our children and those are in fact, not in the Bible. * But this curriculum has been a huge blessing for us. The lessons about the Feasts line up with them each yr. I am late in posting this one but our daughter was excited to see it in her lesson. We do use supplements as well as needed. Some things we enjoy using are: Vocabulary Words - Spelling Practice - Phonics Games for Kids (spellingcity.com) IXL | Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish Shop for Ages 6-12 – Bible Pathway Adventures

Well... hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope the Spring Feasts have been a blessed time of rest and renewal for you and your loved ones, thus far, as we count down to Shavuot (Pentecost)
These are some updated pics of the little "garden babies" red potatoes, kale, green onions, and broccoli are in the green bags. The white buckets were just planted and hold: mini carrots, lettuce, Romaine lettuce, and Vidalia onions. All things that can tolerate these cooler temps. When the weather gets warmer we can broaden our horizons a bit! Those of you that have followed the blog for awhile know that I typically write a minimum of 2-3x a week and I have slowed down significantly recently due to my responsibilities with life and family have been changing/growing. I have a new job, the Spring Feasts came upon us, a final exam for school (Pathophysiology-), sports for the children, leading a ladies Bible Study for our church..... lots of things. My anxiety kicked in and I was really struggling. It was a: trying, tearful, prayerful, frustrating- "I feel like I'm drowning," kind of time. So I needed to get through it. With some TLC, prayer, serious intervention from some sisters in Messiah and a 1x1 with my husband and LOTS OF PRAYER we all kind of talked through some things... The husband and I came up with new plans on how to deal with these issues together, support each other, new communication skills, and most of all sat at the feet of our KING together. Is it all going to be smooth sailing from here? Not likely. *lol* But life never is. But my support system SUPPORTED. From here we (the husband and I) walk one foot in front of the other. I am going to let some things run the course and fall off of my shoulders until I get done with school as well. Working full-time, homeschooling 3 kiddos, sports, and troops, assisting with the back-end of a functioning ministry, leading Bible Study, taking online CPT medical coding school at night and running a household is a full schedule.... I may not be posting as often. I am not really on a "schedule" for that as of now. But I always enjoy touching base with all of you!! Until next time, Blessings and Shalom as you continue to "pursue the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua"-Phil 4:13 Here we are winding down the yr.... Z, our 4th grader just finished up American History for this year.
We have about 7 weeks of "school" left and the kids will have light review over the summer. Typically 1 math worksheet a day and for the youngest some reader books or a language arts worksheet here and there. But it's not formal, at all. Just enough so they don't lose that information over their break. But the anticipation is in the air. They are antsy and I think we are all ready for that little break. I will utilize that time to push into my CPT class and try to ramp up preparation for my certification exam. The kids also start sports at the end of this month... we have softball, baseball, and soccer starting up. This weekend of course we are ready to celebrate Passover and First Fruits!! Change is in the air. BUT this summer we will have time for fun: pools, playtime, memories etc. Shabbat Shalom Covenant Keepers in Yeshua Messiah!! Have a blessed Celebration of: Shabbat, Passover, & First Fruits! Until next time, Blessings and Shalom as you continue to "pursue the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua"-Phil 4:13 side note DISCLAIMER: I do not receive compensation from ANY of the resources I share or use. I am belated on this post, but here I am! Last week we kicked off Shabbat with friends watching The Prince of Egypt The Prince of Egypt (1998) Trailer #1 | Movieclips Classic Trailers - YouTube which we do annually. Then for Shabbat School we reviewed the Deliverance Story in Exodus and the kids did a couple of crafts. Very simple and fun way to welcome in the Spring Feast Season! Until next time, Blessings and Shalom as you continue to "pursue the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua"-Phil 4:13 *side note DISCLAIMER: I do not receive compensation from ANY of the resources I share or use.
