Hello scattered friends and family in Messiah! We utilize Masterbooks for all book work and this paper to the left comes from Language Lessons for a Living Education, level 3. Masterbooks is a non-denominational curriculum. But as we all know Shabbat and the Feast Days are in the Bible with specific instructions. This post is really just to take a moment and appreciate the curriculum for having these things woven in at the appropriate time of year so that as: Whole Bible Observant believers, Shabbat, and Feast keepers we can have these beautiful and easy to understand lessons to teach our children! The picture below is from Language Lessons for a Living Education, level 5. Blessings for you and your family as you begin to prep for Passover, ULB, and First Fruits! Phil 4:13 Hello scattered family and friends in Messiah! I hope you all are doing well. The Feast of Tabernacles is upon us again! One of our favorite Biblical Feasts! If you have been following our blog for any amount of time you know that Masterbooks is our foundation curriculum and we supplement as desired from there. One of the things my husband and I love about Masterbooks is the Biblical Feasts are covered in the curriculum and around the right time of the yr. for us to celebrate and teach the children. * The children are on "break" this week for Tabernacles- this was a worksheet from last week* This sample is from Masterbooks Language Lessons for a Living Education, level 3. As it explains, "Leviticus 23 is about the Feast of Tabernacles.--a tabernacle is a temporary place to live. it is like a tent except it is made from wood or branches. ---the first and eighth day of this feast is a Sabbath" "Jesus (Yeshua) was born during this feast week. Jesus (Yeshua) celebrated the Feast of tabernacles, and Zechariah 14:16 says that someday, all nations will celebrate the feast!" Anyone new to the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as Sukkot. Here is a simple explanation of it; It's a rehearsal for a future event where Yeshua will Tabernacle with us again, which simply means be with us.
The tent idea is a reminder we are in temporary dwelling places until we get to be with Yah permanently in the New Jerusalem, that will come down to earth. It also symbolizes the time when the Israelites were able to escape their slavery from the Egyptians and had to live in tents for 40 years. Its also a metaphor of how we escape and come out of the things of this World! Coming out of the traditions and the ways of man and religion. We hence Cross Over or Pass Over from the things of this World into the things and Ways of YHWH! This is where the word Hebrew comes from, one who has passed or crossed over! Enjoy your Tabernacle Time with Yah. He is our Banner, Covering, and Shelter. May He Overshadow us with His Glory and Presence during this set-apart Time. Be with us Always Yah in Spirit, until we are one with You permanently. Oh how we await this with great joy and anticipation. A quick google search can give you all kinds of ideas for how to decorate your own Sukkah or purchase one. The intent and motives of the heart are known by Yah and may He be with you. HalleluYah!! Have a blessed celebration rehearsal for the wedding feast to come. Do Bible things in Bible ways.... Follow the footsteps of the Master and KING. RELATED READING:

Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! Well, one of our boys is taking Zoology this yr and the other is taking "Adventures on Planet Earth," and last wk in "Adventures on Earth," we learned about the food chain.... and Zoology is right up this alley. So this field trip seemed quite fitting. The Exotic Feline Rescue Center has rescued large cats from various unfortunate situations. Their individual stories can be read in the link above. The way the center is set up you can get very close to these majestic creatures. However, obviously; no touching, reaching, taunting or loud noises that may agitate them. There are tours at specific set times. We happened to go to the 1st one at 10 am. In which, the 2 male lions, were definitely vocal upon waking up. They took turns roaring back and forth. The tour guide said that a lion roar can be heard up to 5 miles away... I wonder if any nearby neighbors have become used to it. Although the center is on some 285 acres so they have plenty of land and isolation. However, the part accessible to tours is not nearly as large so don't expect a huge expanse on the tour. This was our 1st field trip of the year and the kids loved it! They enjoyed being so close to these beautiful animals and learning of their stories and a bit about their natural habitats and general facts. Last yr for our daughter's Zoology Field Trip we visited: Newport Aquarium Field Trip - Pursuing the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua- Phil 3:14 Each of the children is going to pick their favorite wild cat and create a tri-fold board presentation for that animal. So the learning continues! I will do a post to show those later after they are done. Enjoy the photos! Phil 4:13 *side note DISCLAIMER: I do not receive compensation from ANY of the resources I share or use. They are just resources, curriculum, etc that have blessed our family and may bless yours!* Hello friends and scattered family in Messiah! Wow, what an exciting time! We are getting festive in mood and decorations around the house. Our fellowship, family and, children will certainly enjoy this time together as we prep for The Feast of Trumpets this upcoming weekend! So much happened this past weekend and I have a ton of photos to upload for blog posts. BUT, Masterbooks, never fails to excite me every year with the timing of the Fall Feasts information in the curriculum right on time. So the examples you see above are from Masterbooks Language Lessons for a Living Education levels 3, and 5. (for 3rd and 5th grade respectively) These are for our 2 boys tomorrow! These examples ^^^^^^ are from Bible Pathway Adventures Fall Feast book. We use Bible Pathway books for Shabbat kids' lessons (for church) These pages were completed this past Shabbat 9/9/23. Scripture is incorporated into the very fabric of our lives. From: how we live, how we resolve conflict, how we discipline, how we educate, and how we as parents aim to honor YHWH in obedience to the Shema command.
It is not a few hours a day once a wk. Our culture is Bible Culture, which is YHWH's culture. Our Holy Days are His Holy Days, the Appointed Times/Moedim given as a "sign" of His covenant with His people. We live in this country and this world but we are not of it. We have crossed over and been grafted into the people of Yah, we are Hebrew. We are ambassadors here on a mission for our KING. HalleluYAH! The Day of Blowing / Trumpets — points to when the Messiah will appear in the heavens as a Bridegroom coming for His bride, the ekklesia -both native and grafted in belivers-. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:52) Masterbooks, our foundation curriculum also incorporates the Feasts into the Language curriculum which is a blessing. 2023: sunset 9/15-sunset 9/16 We annually celebrate in faith and hope the 'practice announcement, until He comes. It is a joyous occasion! In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a Shabbat rest, a memorial of blowing (shofar), a holy convocation. You are to do no regular work, and you are to present an offering made by fire to Adonai. (Leviticus 23:24-25 ) By His will we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Messiah Yeshua once for all. Indeed, every kohen stands day by day serving and offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. >>But on the other hand, when this One offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God<< Hebrews 10:10-12 TLV

Phil 4:13 *side note DISCLAIMER: I do not receive compensation from ANY of the resources I share or use. They are just resources, curriculum, etc that have blessed our family and may bless yours!* Hello scattered friends and familiy in Messiah! I'm just going to say again, OH, how we LOVE this curriculum! Masterbooks is non-denominational curriculum. But they cover: Shabbat, all of the Feasts, and here is another little gem that is often misunderstood and mis-explained to the masses. The images above are from the 101 Favorite Bible Stories book that goes with the Language curriculum from 3rd-5th grade. Reading from this book is every Thursday. Many adults that have been in church for years have not understood or properly been taught the truth from the Bible. They have been taught a westernized/roman centric, denomination preferred version of something that is NOT Bible. Now while Peter was mulling over the vision, the Ruach said to him, “Look here, three men are looking for you. But get up, go downstairs, and go with them without hesitating, because I Myself have sent them.- Acts 10:19-20 TLV He said to them, “You yourselves know that it is not permitted for a Jewish man to associate with a non-Jew or to visit him. Yet God has shown me that I should call no one unholy or unclean. So I came without objection when I was sent for. I ask, then, what is the reason why you sent for me? Acts 10:28-29 TLV Often times, actually, in 90+ % of western churches, this vision is taught to mean that all animals are acceptable to YHWH to be eaten when tha,t in fact, IS NOT what the vision is about at all. The vision as Peter explains is: "Yet God has shown me that I should call no one unholy or unclean" YHWH used the example of clean and unclean animals, something that, being Torah adherent Peter would understand to show him that some of the oral traditions that Jews followed such as they should not eat with or visit with non-Jews is a "man made tradition/teaching," it is not of YHWH/Torah. Then Peter opened his mouth and said, “I truly understand that God is not one to show favoritism, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him. You know the message He sent to Bnei-Yisrael, proclaiming shalom through Messiah Yeshua— Acts 10:34-36 TLV The Pharisees and Torah scholars questioned Yeshua, “Why don’t Your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders? Why do they eat bread with unwashed hands?” And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors Me with their lips but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ Mark 7: 5-7 TLV When He had left the crowd and entered the house, His disciples questioned Him about the parable. And He said to them, “Are you then also lacking understanding? Don’t you grasp that whatever goes into the man cannot make him unholy? For it does not enter into the heart but into the stomach, and then goes out into the sewer, cleansing all foods.” And He continued, “It is what comes out of the man that makes the man unholy. For from within, out of the heart of men, come evil intentions, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustfulness, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and make the man unholy Mark 7:17-23 TLV They said, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not do the ritual handwashing when they eat bread." Matt 15:2 TLV Are you also still lacking understanding?” Yeshua said. “Don’t you grasp that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and then is ejected into the sewer? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and those things make the man unholy. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, and slander. These are the things that make the man unholy; but to eat with unwashed hands does not make the man unholy.”Matt 15:17-20 TLV Popular theology goes like this: Yeshua is teaching contrary to YHWH's instructions in Torah. "The Word made flesh," is saying and teaching the opposite of the Word and they are free to eat whatever they want. **hmmm....sounds questionable and poses a serious problem because, what is sin? answer: Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah. 1 JN 3:4 ** ----> Would the "Word made flesh," (ie: Yeshua) who came not to do His own will but the will of Him who sent Him.... sin and teach others to sin by violating Torah? Ouch, church! That is not sound doctrine/teaching. That is the church following Roman-rooted traditions from the Catholic church who became Anti-Semitic and started veering away from the Truth and leading millions with them. Yeshua telling people that they can now eat any animal means He is telling them to disobey/be lawless to the Father who He embodies in the flesh! Scripture says in Lev 11 and reiterates in Deut. 14 that the flesh of certain animals is NOT FOOD. Rabbi's argued over when prayer should be said during the washing of hands and the instructions about the water and the basin used to wash..... This is not Torah. This fluff "added" to the burden of Yah's people and still does today for both Jews and Christians that are not theologically sound. For this is the love of God—that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 JN 5:3 TLV And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men Matt. 15:9 TLV The context of all of this and the implications according to Messiah is that the Pharisees are "making the Word of God of no effect through there traditions." The idea that Yeshua would abolish Leviticus 11 goes in direct opposition to His own Words: Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Matt 5: 17 TLV Yeshua plainly said He did not come to “destroy” the law. The Greek word translated destroy (Greek, katalyo) can also be translated “dissolve,” “demolish,” “abrogate” or “deprive of force.”} Instead of abolishing the law, He came to fulfill (pleroo) it—which means to “make full,” “fill up” or “accomplish)
Genesis-Duet. When Yeshua quoted scripture to teach He taught from the Torah. The church in the book of Acts didn't have a written (2nd [New] Testament) yet. They continued in Torah. Yeshua is the High Priest of Torah, "And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 TLV AMEN! We are not under the law.." What does that mean? It means we do not stand condemned by the Torah/Law because Yeshua paid the sacrifice since ALL have fallen short and been lawless/sinful. (see Rom 3:23) What is sin? Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah .⁹ (1 JN) 3:4 CJB or in NKJV "Whoever commits sin, commits lawlessness for sin is lawlessness" What is the law? Torah.
Bottom line: Yeshua says, "If you love Me, obey Me" the expectation of obedience is there. When we fail and commit lawlessness the fulfillment of the law in Yeshua redeems His own from the curse. If we repent upon recognition of sin, are born again, and belong to Him. Western churches by and large teach "another gospel" they do not teach what Yeshua taught. "But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should announce any "good news" to you other than what we have proclaimed to you, let that person be cursed!- Gal 1: 8TLV Be of a "Berean mindset," - "searching the Scriptures each day to see whether these things were true." Acts 17: 11 TLV In conclusion : Who will rescue me from this body bound for death? Thanks be to God [He will]! — through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! To sum up: with my mind, I am a slave of God’s Torah ; but with my old nature, I am a slave of sin’s “ Torah .” Romans 7:24-25
(Gal) 3:13 And in our new nature “ ‘This is the covenant which I will make with them after those days,’ says Adonai : ‘I will put my Torah on their hearts, and write it on their minds . . . ” (Heb) 10:16 One of the major problems with the Pharisees’ traditions was that they often led to the abuse and mistreatment of other people. For example, in Matthew 23 Yeshua strongly rebuked them for putting unnecessary burdens on people (verse 4), abusing widows (verse 14), neglecting justice and mercy (verse 23) and even being complicit in the murder of righteous men (verse 34-35). In another place, He scolded them for inventing a loophole that allowed them to avoid caring for their elderly parents (Mark 7:11-13). The main flaw was neglecting to show love to their fellow man. The 3 pictures above are the curriculum selections for the 2023-2024 school year! We do give flexibility to the kids to pick their choice of science, and electives. The 1st picture for our up and coming 6th grader she chose General Science 1 that comes with the 4 books: Astronomy, Weather, Mineral, Ocean, and 2 electives: Living Healthy, and a video American Sign Language (ASL class) Our up and coming 5th grader is picture #2 and he chose Zoology for science and also Living Healthy so he can do that class with his sister. He is also taking Elementary Biblical Apologetics. Our up and coming 3rd grader selected Adventures on Planet Earth for science with an elective of Cursive, and the video course of ASL as well. I am going to be working on the first few months of lesson plans over the summer break. As well as, finishing up my courses with AAPC for my CPC medical coding certification, at last. After completing the certification exam it will be nice to finally be back down to work, homeschooling, and ministry assistance with my husband. The past 2 years of: work, homeschooling, AAPC school (part-time), and ministry has been quite the experience. But Yah is faithful and has always made the way before us. HalleluYah! In addition to the curriculum...our school day is typically over by 1-1:30 and with that we like to enjoy family and fun time together. Homeschool freedom at it's best. All of these classes seen below can be found here: Electives - Subject - Homeschool (masterbooks.com) The culture around us is terribly confused and attempting to drag all children into the mess. Standing firm in faith and arming your children with knowledge is pivotal. This, of course, is not the only way to arm your children with Apologetics knowledge to defend the faith...but it is the route we have chosen, that I am able to speak of. Many of the High School level courses are suitable for adults as well and of course you can pick and choose if you just want to order the books or if you do want to order the workbooks as well. This week he will be learning about different types of clouds and I know he has some upcoming, hands-on crafts with shaving cream and cloud crafts with cotton balls. But these visually stimulating lessons are very engaging. He really loved the study, craft project, and everything this week. We had lots of fun!
